Ahh what a great shirt! Luckily I think carb-phobia is on the way out. You are definitely the queen of oats.
Have a great weekend!
Ah! Love that shirt! Where can I get one?
It’s a great harvest shirt, so I’d have to get one for you. Not sure if I’m ready to be in the shirt biz, but maybe!
Aw darn!
I was just going to ask where I could get that shirt. Perhaps at a different GH?
Yes, love that shirt too!!
I want that t-shirt…NOW! Hilarious
I knew not buying cottage cheese would be a mistake. This looks soooo good! Love the cheesecake aspect.
That smoothie looks great! Plus, I love the purple color because purple is my fave color!
That shirt is awesome!

Mmmm I love mixing cottage cheese in with my oats. I also want to try ricotta one day too.. bet it would be just as yummy!
Love the t-shirt!
LOVE the shirt! Wish I had one! And yum, that smoothie looks great. I need to buy some cottage cheese and I’ll be all set to make one of my own.
I remember you saying a couple times that you only drank cool coffee, not iced. When did you become a convert?
Well this is still cool because the ice melts quickly and becomes cool coffee. I still like it cool!
Does the cottage cheese make it thicker versus milk or yogurt? What kind do you buy?
Great start to a friday, even if it isn’t real cheesecake:-) Have a great day!
Hahaha, love that this is what you do, whereas I actually have eaten real cheesecake for breakfast
Awesome shirt! I’ve got to try the blender thing with cottage cheese. Great alternative to yogurt!
Hilarious shirt!
I’d love a piece of cheesecake for breakfast — although I’d probably want to go back to bed after the sugar crash.
mmm that smoothie sounds awesome!
I am loving that shirt!
I’m obsessed with that spoon. And that shirt! Have a wonderful day at work!
Hahaha! Love the shirt.
And Cheesecake for breakfast? I can get behind that! It looks awesome!
Haha love the shirt! Strawberry cheesecake sounds like a delicious breakfast to me – it’s rainy here (and it has been all week) but berries make life better!
Love your shirt…and love that you now have unlimited bread at your disposal!
I have a feeling those shirts will go like hotcakes
Pun very much intended…
that shirt is AWESOME!
Lovin’ that shirt “Save a Cow Eat a Carb” I want one!
Here I am this morning, uber tired and reading blogs,
I read “Cheesecake for Breakfast” and immediately wake up,
WAIT WHATT ?! I MUST TRY THIS !!
I would buy that shirt too!!!!!!!
I love your shirt, Kath! I feel like that should be my life motto
I love the berry smoothies. It’s such a pretty color too!
This shirt is perfect! So is that breakfast!
Kath I have a question- do you ever add ricotta cheese to any of your oatmeal creations (SIAB or regular oat bowls)? I have some leftover for a recipe and I’m trying to figure out what to do with it…. Thanks!
I have never really been fond of ricotta. Until I found a grass-fed kind at Whole Foods. It was AMAZING but it was also $6 a container, so I don’t really buy it because it’s super expensive. But since my cottage cheese is $5 I should switch it up sometime!

Hey Kath!
Have you ever tried eating oats that you’ve cooked in a crock pot over night? It’s my favorite way to eat them and was just wondering if you’ve ever given that method a shot. I have yet to try your overnight oats, but plan to soon!
Have a good day,
Lindsay
No mostly because my crockpot is a PAIN to clean!! I’ve done huge dutch oven servings, but not crockpot. Sometime when I have a brunch I’ll try it.
Love that shirt! I could definitely go for some cheesecake oats in the morning.
I LOVE that shirt! Where can I get one?!
Holy Yum, lady – I’m trying that smoothie soon!!
Just like everybody else who commented, I LOVE that shirt too!
Great shirt!! and this dough boy sounds great!!
Anything with cheesecake is right up my alley!

This looks & sounds so good!!!
LOVE the addition of the cottage cheese to the dough boy, I bet it is even better! Looks good!
Love the shirt! how cute!
Have a great day!!! xoxo
Hi Kath! Can you recommend a good scale? I think the one I have is finally dying. I don’t need anything fancy – just one for weight. There are so many out there, it’s confusing!
Food scale? I have an Eat Smart brand one that I like a lot. It’s little and lightweight.
If you mean Body scale, I’d just go to Bed, Bath + Beyond and pick one. I don’t own one of those anymore.
Yum! I’m a HUGE fan of cheesecake. I’ve got to try this! That shirt is awesome
HAHA! Love the t-shirt!
LOVE that shirt!! I’m sure low-carbers are groaning.
O my word!!! Please, please tell me where you got that shirt?
Mmmm, I think I’m going to steal your idea for tomorrow morning breakfast and give it a shot! Looks very yummy and high protein, too
I still need the kale shirt!
I tried to make your dough boy smoothie a couple weeks ago but didn’t have any chia seeds on hand and the smoothie was a disaster. I noticed that this recipe calls for them too. Do they make a big difference in making the smoothie thick? Any substitution ideas?
What was disastrous about it? They are not required.
Great Harvest birthday….
I met some friends for breakfast this morning to celebrate a close friends birthday. (had the most amazing oatmeal topped with creme brulee but that’s beside the point). I found a book to give her for her birthday called “friendship bread”. Looked like a good book so I bought it and added two loaves of Great Harvest. She loved it!
LOVE THAT SHIRT!!! SO TRUE! Carbs are the BEST food group ever!
oh yes. this is an amazing breakfast I can tell. so do you really feel like you’re eating more carbs b/c of the bakery Kath? for some people, I hear that when they’re in a bakery all day, they eat less of it. But when I worked at one years ago, all I did was eat pastries muuahhaha.
Well the bakery isn’t open yet, and this week of training was an anomaly. Wait for today’s lunch – back to normal!
haha yeah but being around bread period, is hard for a girl!
haha that shirt is AWESOMEsauce.
Love the shirt
And what an amazing breakfast! The berry cheesecake dough boy smoothie sounds delicious – I’m going to go out and buy some cottage cheese so I can make this tomorrow morning!
This sounds like a great smoothie!
I’ve been on a major cottage cheese kick lately. Thanks for the new inspiration!
I love that bloggers have found a way to make dessert into breakfast. Or breakfast into dessert?
Ooooh, this sounds great!!!!
Love the light purple color!!
Yum. That looks like my kind of breakfast! Awesome shirt!!!
I made it this morning. YUM!!! I see that you say that its for 2 servings, but I took 2 servings out of the blender and STILL have 2 cups of yumminess left over. How big are your servings??
What you see in the photo – a big bowl’s worth. Maybe 1.75 – 2 cups?
Ah – that’s why. lol I have been on a super restrictive diet, so that is a huge amount of food at once right now.
Thanks for posting all your yummy breakfasts! I look forward to trying more. I just discovered your site a few days ago.

Do you do anything special to keep your smoothies from separating?? Last time I tried the Dough Boy smoothie it separated before I could eat it the next day
Oh you should never blend it ahead of time! It will definitely separate. You are supposed to mix it, let it sit overnight, and blend in the morning.
Hey, quick question – what type of chia seeds do you use? I was at Whole Foods and found a bag, but it was a small one for $21 wow! I was looking online, but there are so many options. Do you have any preference or guidance? Is there a big difference between brands?
Do you use milled ones or just whole ones?
I think chiaseedsdirect.com is the cheapest. I like them whole only!
You’re wonderful! I just ordered some and can’t wait to give some of your smoothies a whirl, among other things!
