Three Fer Three!

Three nights of local food + fun with Tim!!

IMG_0153Blog

I gotta say though, I’m ready for a salad and some beans tomorrow 🙂 I’ve been eating “normally” while out, but I miss my kitchen a bit! I opened the fridge and didn’t remember what was inside!

After we wrapped up at the bakery, I biked home, got myself into one hot sweaty mess and took a freezing cold shower.

New night, new dress.

IMG_0146Blog

We decided to take Tim into the Virginia countryside to eat amongst the mountains, so he could feel more at home from the Montana Mountain state 😉

IMG_0145Blog

Of course Matt’s ulterior motive was just to lead him straight to the local beer!

IMG_0144Blog

Blue Mountain Brewery recently added this awesome outdoor seating area. We are three for three on perfect patio meals this week too!!

IMG_0143Blog

We split a bottle of the Mandolin to start – our favorite Blue Mountain beer

IMG_0150Blog

IMG_0158Blog

I only had one glass and let the boys keep on ordering and took over the drive home.

IMG_0157Blog

To start – nachos!

IMG_0154Blog

A bit cheesy + a lot chippy. Onion salsa on the side. We ended up pouring the pureed salsa on top though, which made ‘em more flavorful

IMG_0155Blog

For dinner we ordered salads to start

IMG_0162Blog

With the most amazing blackberry dressing!!! It was like my favorite JAM topping on a salad!!

IMG_0164Blog

And the reason we all came..

IMG_0165Blog

I mean:

IMG_0171Blog

I mean:

IMG_0167Blog

Hard choice!! We split the Mediterranean pizza. Delicious! I had 3 square and could have kept on chompin.

Picking out onions is not a favorite pastime of mine (the kitchen was not very thorough in the request to leave them off)

IMG_0170Blog

Tim was into the cheese plate so we ordered that for dessert.

IMG_0173Blog

I left the bread + meats to the boys and dug into the BURRIES!!! And had some of the other fruit and smoked cheeses.

IMG_0172Blog

Boy is our house hot and sweaty right now! It was a super hot day. I worked in the office and then stepped outside for a walk with Allie mid afternoon and came back drenched!

Matt and I have to get up and go in early to make sandwiches for a special radio thing we’re doing, so I’m hoping to get in bed early. Otherwise, tomorrow is a light day – and I get to eat lunch at home!

We went to Blue Mountain Brewery last Sunday on our brief visit to Cville (we also drove past GH!). The view was spectacular and the beer tastey (I had the sampler). What a great way to spend an afternoon (or evening) with friends.

I know you just said your house is hot and sweaty, but … I’m kind of jealous? My husband likes to have the a/c on all the time and to me, it’s just not summer without the windows open. I guess I have a higher tolerance for the heat!

I could have sworn that BMB’s nachos came on one of those metal plates right out of the oven and not in a bowl… hmm… I guess this means I will just have to go out there soon and try them again! 🙂
