Clean Sweat

As I’ve left for “work” every morning this week the weather has been beautiful, the air crisp and dewy yet warm, and the biking exhilarating. I’m so thankful to be able to bike to work! (Remind me of that come January..)

Yet each morning when I leave the house on my bike, nice and clean from a shower, I’m drenched in a nice layer of sweat within in minute. And it’s not even summer yet!

But sweating clean, lotiony, perfumed sweat is tolerable and nearly odorless after it dries. Had I not showered I would have felt so gross, but after 25 minutes of biking hills PLUS my shower – I just felt a bit drippy! I don’t mind clean sweat at all.

Matt and I were on fire preparing for our employee meeting, rushing around and all, and noon was here before we knew it. Everyone ordered sandwiches and we did introductions and discussed working at GH.

IMG_0139 (640x427)

I ordered the Curried Tuna today – yummm!!

IMG_0138 (640x427)

Great job on the sandwich making design team!

IMG_0136 (640x427)

IMG_0133 (640x427)

We put out a bunch of carrot sticks to have as a side. Two giant papers of these got eaten – I was impressed!

IMG_0132 (640x427)

Day 4 of sandwiches and tomorrow I’d like a salad for lunch please!!

IMG_0135 (640x427)

I also taste tested some wheatberry salad we have as a side item purchase option. It tasted like Whole Foods! It would be cool to make this in-house, but we also don’t have a means to boil wheatberries and this tasted great, so we might buy it as is.

IMG_0140 (640x427)

Honey Whole Wheat was cracked open for employee tasting.

IMG_0142 (640x427)

We’ve got oogles of paperwork to still do – W9’s and confidentiality agreements to sort galore!

Have a great one!!

I know if I am planning on biking to work I skip my lotion that morning! Lotion seems to make me sweat more and seems to make the sweat way more visible. Also I keep a little thing of baby powder in my desk just in case

If you wear Under Armour®, the sweat is wicked away from the body (keeping you cooler), it’s comfortable and is very fast drying. Additionally, if you are sweating all day (say in front of a monster sized bread oven after biking in 80 degree weather with 100 percent humidity) it could prevent possible rashes generated from clothes that remain moist all day.

Today it was so hot/humid here (in Philly) and, even though I re-did my hair and applied more deodorant, I’ve been kind of self-conscious all day! Oh well… sucks to be my co-workers I guess.
