The View From Here

May 21, 2012

It’s awfully gloomy outside today, but that makes for better working conditions inside, I suppose!

I went to Body Pump, which was absolutely packed with people. I’m starting to feel a bit like screws are loose in my back, so I did all the squats without weights. Still felt a burn! And the upper body got worked hard!

Lunch right after:

I made a burrito with our leftovers from last night plus CHEESE!

And polished off the last of this:

With apple cider water

Heck yeah – the sun just peeked out! And I just ate a spoonful of Biscoff Crunchy for dessert! And UPS just put a package on my doorstep!

The weather is quite gloomy outside today. Your lunch definitely makes up for it! There is nothing like fresh watermelon. I love it :)

Just got the swimsuit that you posted on BERF a few weeks ago! It’s so cute and fits great! Thanks again for posting a pic of it! I never would have thought to look at athleta for bikinis. I thought it was all workout suits.

4 Khushboo May 21, 2012 at 12:53 pm

Mmm I hope you grilled that burrito to let the cheese melt :)!

5 Andrea @ The Skinny Chronicles May 21, 2012 at 12:57 pm

UPS packages can be so much fun! More nursery stuff? Enjoy your afternoon. It’s wet out here in California too. Ick!

6 KathEats May 21, 2012 at 12:58 pm

Replacement screens for our windows – boring!

7 Roxanne May 21, 2012 at 3:51 pm

That must have been disappointing BUT now you can open your windows to let the fresh air inside…

8 Katie @ Peace Love & Oats May 21, 2012 at 12:57 pm

I bet that burrito was delicious!!! Gotta love cheese.

9 Alyssa (pb and oatmeal) May 21, 2012 at 1:04 pm

Who doesn’t love a mid day surprise at their door? I hope you get a little sunshine later today!

11 Ellie@Fit for the Soul May 21, 2012 at 1:15 pm

I can’t imagine doing squats with a pregnant tummy :P I don’t know if you mentioned it before, but what is that like? Is it really painful, etc.? I’d like to know ahead of time you know, lol.

12 KathEats May 21, 2012 at 1:21 pm

No, it’s not painful at all. Cause your legs are medium-wide apart. It does get in the way sometimes – more so in lunges though!

13 Caroline @ After Dinner Dance May 21, 2012 at 1:16 pm

No burrito is complete without cheese!

14 lynn @ the actor's diet May 21, 2012 at 1:53 pm

16 Cait's Plate May 21, 2012 at 2:24 pm

I agree – sometimes when i have a lot to do I almost feel relieved when it’s not nice outside. It’s sunny here – I’ll try to send some sunshine your way for tomorrow :)

17 Kerry @ Totes My Oats May 21, 2012 at 2:28 pm

Love getting packages!

18 Jules @ La Petite Maison Verte May 21, 2012 at 2:28 pm

Getting packages delivered is the best! Even if you know exactly what is inside, there is still something so exciting about the anticipation of opening it up and unwrapping it. It never gets old :-)

19 Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat May 21, 2012 at 2:31 pm

Bodyweight squats can be very humbling sometimes! I did some the other day after a hard run and they felt just as hard as if I’d had a barbell across my shoulders. Yowwwza!! I hope there’s something fun in that parcel for you! :)

20 Angela @ Happy Fit Mama May 21, 2012 at 2:42 pm

I’m way more productive when it’s gloomy outside. Otherwise I have the itch to be playing rather than working!

21 Grace @ Grace Dishes May 21, 2012 at 2:50 pm

I love that you sip from a mason jar! I really love re-vamping leftovers too for the next day!

Have a wonderful week!

22 Angel7 May 21, 2012 at 2:54 pm

Quick and easy burrito with a bigger portion of fruit :)

23 Maria@ Sinfully Nutritious May 21, 2012 at 3:41 pm

24 Emily Butler May 21, 2012 at 3:56 pm

25 KathEats May 21, 2012 at 6:32 pm

Oh gossssshhhh it’s so good!! The crunchy is incredible. It’s like a gingersnap cookie as a spread!

26 Lexi @ You, Me, & A World to See May 21, 2012 at 4:16 pm

I get so excited when the UPS man brings packages…just can’t help but curb the anticipation! Also, at first glance I thought that cheese was mango. Oops haha ;)

27 Averie @ Averie Cooks May 21, 2012 at 5:51 pm

glad your back is loosening a bit.

28 Kendall May 21, 2012 at 5:55 pm

29 Annette @FitnessPerks May 21, 2012 at 6:04 pm

Yep, the squats track is hard enough without a bar for sure :) And can’t wait to hear what was in the package! I love little surprises from the mailman/UPS!

30 KathEats May 21, 2012 at 6:32 pm

It was window screens – nothing exciting!

31 brandee May 21, 2012 at 9:03 pm

32 Nicole May 22, 2012 at 4:48 am

I love your blog. Your meals are always so creative! Gives me lots of ideas to liven up my plates and my love of oatmeal has reached a whole new level! I’m intrigued. What’s this apple cider water? Are you using apple cider vinegar?

33 KathEats May 22, 2012 at 6:15 am

Thanks Nicole!

It was sparkling apple cider!

34 Fran@ Broken Cookies Don't Count May 22, 2012 at 6:52 am
