Made With Love

March 12, 2010

Hello, hello! I hear the internet is back at home!! That makes me glow inside with happiness :)

I’ve been busy all morning putting together a blog start-up proposal for work and working on designing a poster. If there’s one thing I’ve learned during my internship it’s that I really enjoy design!

I was getting really hungry around 11 and had tea and it magically held me over till 12:45 to eat lunch. Imagine that. I’m just now digging in to my sandwich and it’s heavenly!

Today’s lunch was made with love by Matt last night after I realized I would be home late. I asked if he’d put together something with leftover grilled tofu and avocado and he assembled this killer sandwich.

Grilled tofu, avocado, mustard, spinach on Flax Oat Bran (my favorite Great Harvest bread!)

A juicy organic pear on the side, which I sliced at work and sprinkled with cinnamon that I packed in my lunchbox.

And a Biscoff to end on a good note  (I also accidentally packed the whole package of Biscoff’s in my lunchbox instead of putting them back in the cabinet so another one might end up in my mouth!)

Weekend’s almost here!!

How do you pack cinnamon in your lunch box? I always wish I had mine with me at all times but know that, my luck, it’d explode all over my bag if i brought the actual shaker

I packed the whole shaker!

How can it be a killer sandwich without any kind of fruit spread?! :P So nice of Matt though :)

extra Biscoffs are definitely a happy accident! ;) I cannot get enough avocade lately, so this looks especially delish! ;)

Tea is always a good “snack” when you have no access to food! So nice of Matt to make such an incredible sammie. Most guys would make a PB&J and call it a day! Happy Friday :)

I really did!! It’s a sleeve of them (halfway gone) and my brain fogged and I put them in my lunchbox instead of the cabinet!

I thought of you the other day when I saw Biscoffs at Walgreens. I almost bought them, but realized I would have eaten them WAY too quickly!

Pears are really good recently; organic Red Bartletts are showing up again and they’re so juicy. And I’d like to add that I always bring the whole cinnamon shaker when on vacation. :) I recently switched from regular McCormick to their organic “gourmet collection” Saigon Cinnamon and you can smell AND taste the big difference!

Q: Does he care that you asked for specific items to be in your lunch? My husband HATES it when he offers to make dinner and I ask him to use certain ingredients or not use certain things. He wants to be in complete control when it is his turn, and I have a really hard time giving it to him!

Awww that’s so sweet that he made you lunch – LOVE that! I think I have come to the conclusion that EVERY SANDWICH should include AVOCADO – it’s so good on sammie’s.

An entire package of biscoff would be a major downfall for me. They are heaven in a cookie.

Grilled tofu and avocado is one of life’s best combos, in my opinion. I highly recommend adding BBQ sauce to the mix as well!
