If The Shoe Fits…

November 2, 2010

Buy 3 pairs!!

Mom + Dad gave me a little moolah for my birthday and while I was out running errands today I just happened to duck into Rack Room Shoes, which was having a BOGO sale. Thanks M+D!

X*Appeal shoes are SO comfy! And I got all three pairs for $75!!

I am in love with these pointy cowgirl boots

Which only go half up so they are very comfy – and they were only $39!

These are also VERY supportive due to the wedge and can be worn with skirts or jeans

And my first pair of slouchy boots – they match so many things and my calves have lots of space! I am nervous about wearing them though because I am new to boots!

I got home around 2PM in time for a delicious lunch

Hummus + veg on Great Harvest Warrenton High Five Fiber! (Thanks to Karen for picking us up a loaf)

Cinnamon Pink Lady

Yogurt with POM and granoler!

And some sweet tea (Splenda, I believe, which I do have once in a blue moon) made by Karen

Those cowgirl boots are adorable!

2 Maria November 2, 2010 at 3:08 pm

Omigosh, I love those gray boots! Hmm…perhaps I need to pay a visit to DSW sometime soon and cross my fingers in hope of finding such a stylish bargain!

3 Megan (Running Foodie) November 2, 2010 at 4:16 pm

I got a pair just like them at Payless for about $20 (and a BOGO)! The ones I saw at DSW that were similar were a bit pricier.

4 Heather (Heather's Dish) November 2, 2010 at 3:08 pm

those are WAY too cute! i love the boots!

5 Anna @ Newlywed, Newly Veg November 2, 2010 at 3:08 pm

I love rack room!! Those boots would be cute with a skirt and tights too!

6 Alina @ Duty Free Foodie November 2, 2010 at 3:08 pm

Wow, that sale is ridiculously great! I like the boots :)

7 Tami@nutmegnotebook November 2, 2010 at 3:09 pm

What a great deal on three pairs of shoes! I need some new boots too!

Sweet tea, that makes me think of a time we were on vacation in Virginia and the waitress approached our table and asked us if we wanted some sweet tea. Her accent was so thick that we had to ask her three times what she was saying! Finally we got figured it out! We had to pass though as it just sounded way to sweet for us!

8 Gabriela @ Une Vie Saine November 2, 2010 at 3:09 pm

I still use Splenda when it’s the only thing available too. A little artificial sugar doesn’t kill you :)

I love the Mary Janes!

9 lynn (The Actors Diet) November 2, 2010 at 3:09 pm

i just got a shoe loot too – makes me so happy!

10 Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) November 2, 2010 at 3:11 pm

Love the shoes! I love Mary Janes and the fact that they are wedges is even better! Lunch looks delicious too! Enjoy!

11 Balanced Healthy Life November 2, 2010 at 3:11 pm

12 Beth @ Beth's Journey to Thin November 2, 2010 at 3:12 pm

Wow i’m so impressed with your shoe purchases – all for $75 to boot!

13 Holly @ couchpotatoathlete November 2, 2010 at 3:13 pm

I’m not a cowboy boot fan at all — but those are pretty cute!

14 Jamie @ Food in Real Life November 2, 2010 at 3:13 pm

Loving those cowboy boots! They look a lot pricier than they were!

15 Sassy Molassy November 2, 2010 at 3:17 pm

Looove the new kicks! All cute (and cheap) choices.

16 Camille November 2, 2010 at 3:18 pm

19 Claire (Low Impact Fashionista) November 2, 2010 at 3:26 pm

Ahh such cute shoes, love the boots I’m currently in the market for grey boots too! Also I have been craving a hummus veggie sandwich forever- jealous of yours….

20 Sarah (Running to Slow Things Down) November 2, 2010 at 3:27 pm

Aww…your shoes = love. Adorable! 😀

21 Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat November 2, 2010 at 3:29 pm

Ooh I love them all!! I am a shoe shopping addict and can’t wait to buy some new boots for fall/winter. Congrats on such a successful shopping trip!

22 Melissa @ HerGreenLife November 2, 2010 at 3:29 pm

I’m definitely a fan of comfort over fashion, especially when it comes to my feet, which I want healthy for many years of walking, running, and biking. Anything pointy-toed makes me cringe, as do most “regular” shoes, which just are not made in a true foot shape (i.e., wide toe box that does not cram your toes together).

23 christina cadden November 2, 2010 at 3:30 pm

All those shoes are so cute!

24 stepf @dailyspark November 2, 2010 at 3:31 pm

You’re really showing those shoe-haters, aren’t you? Those cowboy boots are H-O-T! Way to combine fashion and function, Kath. Do you have skinny jeans? they’ll look great with those slouchy boots.

25 Kath November 2, 2010 at 3:32 pm

I just bought my first pair of skinnies. Not sure how I feel about them.

26 Kris November 2, 2010 at 6:31 pm

You’ll rock the skinnies! Just wear them with confidence :)

27 Susan November 2, 2010 at 7:30 pm

I tried on skinny jeans and I didn’t like them. Then I tried the BR jeggings that Emily bought and I loved them. I always think I look too “hippy” in tight jeans, but these are really flattering.

28 Jackie November 2, 2010 at 3:40 pm

The trick to skinny jeans; a long, flowey top. Don’t wear a tighter fitting top that stops at the top of your hip. Wear something a little looser that goes mid-booty or a little lower.

29 Kath November 2, 2010 at 8:03 pm

Excellent advice :)

30 Becca November 2, 2010 at 3:40 pm

LOVE the cowboy boots! … and the other two pairs too. :)

31 Ali @ Food, Fitness, Fashion November 2, 2010 at 3:44 pm

I am loving all the shoes! Great choices. They are all great for the fall. I have a pair of cowgirl boots that I have had for years, I wear them all the time and always get compliments! I am such a shoe person!

32 Christie {Honoring Health} November 2, 2010 at 3:53 pm

Love those half cowgirl boots, have been thinking of getting a pair myself! Can’t wait to see what you pair them with!

33 Marisa @ Loser for Life November 2, 2010 at 3:55 pm

34 Lily's Health Pad November 2, 2010 at 3:58 pm

I want some boots but I’m having a difficult time decidimg on a pair. Loving your cowgirl boots. Rack Room is the way to go! They always have a good sale.

35 sweetersalt November 2, 2010 at 4:00 pm

The gray boots are super cute – wear ’em with skinnies :)

36 Jazz November 2, 2010 at 4:04 pm

Love the boots! I pretty much live in them since I live in Canada. … and they are so easy to put with everything!

37 Michelle (The Runner's Plate) November 2, 2010 at 4:04 pm

I am having a hard time getting into the boot trend, too! I think I just need to bite the bullet and go for it!

I think those slouchy boots are to die for.
then again so are the cowgirl boots.

I should stop now 😉

51 barefootgirl November 2, 2010 at 5:37 pm

ok… in my comment box those question marks were hearts.. I don’t know what happened.

just envision hearts in place of the question marks.. my post might make more sense that way :)
