This afternoon I also snacked on some Puffins with milk and blackberries…
And then this evening we went to the bakery for a staff meeting!
Our staff totally rocks, and we are so thankful!
Of course we had pizzas on the menu – best dough ever!
Topped with roasted tomatoes, cheese, jalapenos and roasted red peppers
And here is a silent film: A Tribute To Pizza and Cookies
I should have included garden greens in the tribute! We served a huge bowl for a side salad
Plate of delicious:
I only fit once piece of pizza and some salad, but that’s because I spoiled my appetite with cookies before and after dinner!
Leftovers from the breadboard…
Plus a test batch of a different method of the S’mores (which did not turn out as pretty but were just as delicious!)
Sallllted Caramel!!
Our meeting went over well. Kanz is so cute wearing his business hat!
And as if the cookies were not enough…Ellen surprised us with a cake!! Raspberry + Pistachio with a Mascarpone Frosting!
It was as fabulous as it sounds
Please roll me into bed!

I think it is so great that your hubby bakes bread! When you have a little one, homemade bread for sandwiches, french toast, buttered on the side of soups, etc., you will know he is getting the good stuff, made with love! Of course, you are a lucky one to get that good stuff, too!
mmmm everything looks delicious!!! you have a very lucky staff
wow that looks like the best afternoon of food ever. if i ate cookies and pizza every night i would have a library of silent films dedicated to them all!
Your bakery has such a fantastic selection of breads and cookies–I’ve never seen such great flavors near me. Looks like a delicious night of food.
Its all so pretty! Even the last paper plate!
Homemade pizza, cookies and cake…oh my! What a great staff meeting!
ahhhh that pizza looks amazing! You have a lucky staff!
Do you guys sell that pizza dough in your GH? Or do you sell the already-made pizza? It’s pretty much become my life mission to have a piece of that pizza that I’ve been drooling over on your blog for years!
We don’t but we should
Oooo, pizza and cookies- and puffins and berries- salted carmel cookies, those sound like something this pregnant woman needs! (I”d go for the s’mores one too!- I’ll even take the broken ones!
)
Raspberry pistachio cake? Smores cookie taste testing? Homemade pizzas??
Arghhhhh holy macaroni am I ever jealous! All that food looks phenomenal!
That cake looks delicious! Are those two dating now? They look cute together
Nope, just friends
in a heartbeat i would buy your gh pizza dough! and i have to say on another note…i stopped being able to read your blog for a while because i was caught up in the work of the last few weeks of school…but now that im on summer and reading again…i have started eating SO much healthier and im SO much more excited about real food as i was before. you’re inspiring, kath!
Hmmm…love salted caramel and smores. Those cookies speak to me! I’m going to have to try and recreate them.
I finally got around to trying Matt’s roasted potatoes. I had never tried it with the cooling rack and they were vastly improved, very crispy. Thanks!
I want to be a member of your staff just for the meetings, LOL. Holy yumtastic!
Jalapeños on a pizza! Yes please!!
Oh my goodness – I just want some SUGAR now!!
You guys should definitely sell that pizza dough at your GH… and so should Pablo in Warrenton!!
It looks awesome!
i want the raspberry pistachio recipe pretty please..yum
Oh boy- if only our meetings at work were as delicious!
That Raspberry number looks amazing. And so do all the cookies & goodies. Tough job but someone’s gotta taste test all that stuff, right!
I totally have that cake pinned on pinterest! Looks so good, along with all the food pictured. As always.
I absolutely LOVE homemade pizza
Quite a lot of goodies there! The pizza looks delicious and I love that cooke/pastry that looks like it has fruit in it. I always go for the fruit!
Someone needs to open a Great Harvest in Manhattan, and another in Cambridge, MA (Harvard Square, please)! I’m not kidding, how are these amazing bakeries not up here???
It’s because the real estate is so expensive that it’s not profitable
Oh, that makes sense.
SOOOOOOO SAD!
I wish your bakery was in NY!
I wish my workplace was as awesome as yours!
Do you have “yes” and “no” boxes on bakery applications asking, “Do you rock?”
Consider adding it to keep up the good vibes.
That video is food porn at its best. YUM.
How many employees do you have? A friend of mine who is a teacher is working at our GH for the summer and she is really enjoying the experience. I dream of opening up my own bakery or maybe just a GH. Our GH seems to be outgrowing its location as they add more shelves and products. It looks like your location is pretty spacious is space an issue for you?
About a dozen…and we do have a lot of space, but it’s expensive
What a fun night! The pizza and cakes look great!
Love the movie!
We need a Great Harvest in Maine desperately! SOMEONE…ANYONE!
Those pizzas look amazing! Off topic but I have to ask… where did you get that pretty mug in the first pic? I love it!
OpenSky! Hues + Brews
Are the Salted Caramel cookies a tribute to Jeni’s Salty Caramel icecream?

I’ve made that pistachio/marscapone cake. I used strawberries instead of raspberries. So good!
That cake looks delicious! Recipe??? I’d make it in a heartbeat!
Yum! Those pizzas looks so good! What kind of crust is the one with the green flecks? Some sort of garlic/spinach?
I love eating cereal out of a mug–I sware it tastes different than in a bowl! lol
Spinach Feta!
Oh my goodness this post is making me hungry! I’m about to go grab my lunch from the fridge. Everything looks delicious, and that cake is beautiful!!
Raspberry + pistachio! whoa that sounds crazy exotic/delish
We live in Az and have one GH, in Tempe. Which is awesome, but not a location I get to everyday. I’m a sahm and I live in Southeast Gilbert. Anyway, I visit my parents in Wyoming every Summer with my girls and I always make sure to visit a GH there. There are so many locations there compared to here! If I was planning on staying here in Az I think I’d consider opening one! Anyway, loved my GH stash that I picked up. It made me vow to try to make it to Tempe more often!
