Oh yeah, nectarines & peaches were totally my pregnancy cravings! But I had them in the dead of winter. Took ages before I could finally indulge! It sure looks like a very, VERY tasty bowl of oatmeal.

Ah! The Presidents of the United States of America! I used to LOVE that song. 🙂

I’m all over the peaches this mornings too – peach cobbler chia pudding is my breakfast of choice. With Sarah’s Nutty Butter. 🙂

I had some extra tart blackberries recently. The problem I’ve been having with them lately is they are firm in the store, but quickly turn to mush. So disappointing! There are plenty of other fruits to enjoy this time of year though. I’ve been enjoying peaches and nectarines, but they should be really good pretty soon. Enjoy your Friday!

Tartest is a word! It is the superlative of the adjective tart, so “the tartest blackberries” does work.

Typically if the word is longer than one syllable you would use “more” and “most” like in more beautiful, most beautiful. If the word is one syllable then you can add the –est (or the er). Sweet is a good example. Sweet, sweeter, sweetest.

That looks gorgeous! As soon as I saw the post title in my reader, that song immediately came into my head. I just had a pint of blackberries that was supppppper tart as well. I mashed some and added them to balsamic vinegar, then reduced them on the stove and served them over chicken… (the recipe is here if you’re interested: http://eat-spin-run-repeat.com/recipes-2/?recipe_id=6026706). It was divine!! Have an awesome day Kath! 🙂

I’ve been having the worst luck w/store bought blackberries this year…such a delicate fruit – when they are super fresh/local, they are simply amazing, but they rarely hold up to distance transportation/storage. I hearby vow to buy blackberries only at the farmer’s market! 🙂

I am so ready to do the Friday dance today! 🙂 Have a beautiful one, Kath!

Looks like a delicious breakfast! We were out of food last night, so I made banana whipped oats with chia, sunwarrior, and coconut milk, with a side of egg whites. Not too bad for an empty fridge! Nectarines are my fav too 🙂 Have a great day!

Haha- I played “Peaches” for one of my spin classes a few weeks ago and said “Some of you are going to be like ‘Oh hey! I remember this song!’ and the rest of you will be like ‘Uh.. What?!'”
And now it will be in my head all day long…

This is such a silly question but do you sometimes use less liquid in your oats if you’re feeling like having them a lot thicker? I’m just curious because you sometimes have thick oats and sometimes more liquidy. I am a texture freak when it comes to my food.. love it! 🙂 Have a great day!
