I decided I’d better order some KERF gear to sport my logo –
The best thing about this bowl? The surface area!! It’s very wide and not that deep so there was TONS of room for toppings to spread about the amber waves of grain –
- 1/3 cup oats, milk, water, 1 tbsp raisins, pinch salt
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin, stirred in at end
- 1 tbsp ground flax
- 1 tbspish sliced almonds
- 1 tbsp pumpkin butter (new kind, see below)
- Sprinkle coconut butter
- Spoonful Barney Butter
My parents gave me this local pumpkin butter for Christmas. It’s sweetened with concentrated prune juice instead of sugar. It was good, but took me a while to get over the fact that it tastes more like a pruney pumpkin than a cinnamon spice pumpkin

The husband chose his pillow over his bike this morning so I had to drive to the gym. I had a great workout though! Lots of energy. I did 40 minutes climbing the Stepmill (some days 30 minutes is painful but today 40 was effortless – strange!) and ended with 10 minutes on the Stat bike. Instead of doing weight lifting, which I was not in the mood for, I came home to do 20 minutes of Power Yoga #2! Natalie is not my favorite instructor (I hate to admit it when I don’t care for an instructor’s style!) but I liked the moves in this class a lot. I really, really liked ending my workout with yoga. It made me feel much calmer as I got in the shower, although I was more rushed due to the time crunch of an extra 20 minutes.
Please don’t attack me for stating this fact: I tried on 3 pairs of pants this morning and they were all tight.
