You are here: Home / Weekend / Wild Goose Chase!

May 9, 2011

Wild Goose Chase!

I’ve been all over town – and I’ve got 3+ more stores to hit!!

We’re outta the bakery today because our floors are being done, but the great news is that after tomorrow we should hopefully be able to MOVE IN!

First stop to buy a Cuisinart to make our own hummus. Failure because they didn’t have the one I wanted.

IMG_1154Blog

Next Michaels to buy ribbon, paint, canvases and wheat décor

IMG_1155BlogIMG_1156Blog-2

Then to Staples for the bare minimum of office supplies – plus a laminator and paper cutter

IMG_1157Blog-2IMG_1158Blog-2

Then home for lunch!! My stomach was hungry!

IMG_8813Blog

I made an awesome salad with leftover cabbage + chicken from last night. Plus carrot, pepper, mixed greens, lavender salt, olive oil and balsamic.

IMG_8810Blog

IMG_8815Blog

And a slice of the ever-amazing fruity High Five! The chunks of apple + raspberry are just like eating cobbler!!

IMG_8811BlogIMG_8812BlogIMG_8808Blog

For dessert Matt deposited about 3 handfuls of chocolate chips into my hand. The bag is quite light – someone has been eating chips after meals very often!

IMG_8817Blog

We’re off to Sam’s, Lowes and the sign store!

Those stores are frequently on my errands list, too! Bummer that BB&B didn’t have what you wanted, that happens a lot around here! Sometimes their neighboring stores will have it but they are so far away!

I’m actually going to BB&B today and I might stop at Staples which is right next door. 🙂

I tried putting a bit of honey on my salad for the first time today. I thought it surely would not make a big difference… Boy was I wrong! So tasty! It adds a new dimension. Love adding flavor depth through small changes.

That bread looks like it would be wonderful to munch on. Good bread needs nothing added for me to eat it!

I don’t mind errands kind of days, even though they’re usually super busy. It always feels good to get things accomplished [even though it requires spending money].

Do you buy that lavendar salt [I think you’ve mentioned it before?], or do you make it yourself? I bought some lavendar last week, and hope to make something delicious with it…maybe muffins. Mmm.

    hi! Im Kath.

I'm a Registered Dietitian, healthy eater, and mom of two from Charlottesville, Virginia. Here you’ll find a healthy mix of real-life meals made from whole ingredients balanced with the pleasures of life, including buttercream frosting and good wine. Plus a sprinkle of nutrition, home life, beauty, parenting, and travel.
