What’s In The Cards?

Hey there!

IMG_5634Blog

This morning was successful in work:

this !
Chalkboards ordered for the bakery

Sneezeguards picked out

Emails floating around about carrying local/organic foods for our sandwiches ( <—so much harder than you realize!!)

Body Pump

Despite the weather, I actually biked to the gym and back! Who is this girl now not afraid of a little rain!? (BICYCLE RIGHTS! <—that video is SO MATT!)

Body Pump was express today (a shorter class for lunchtime) and I didn’t feel like I got as good of a workout. Who is this girl who is asking for MORE weight lifting!? I think I’m going to go to Saturday’s class to make it 3x this week. That’s a lot for me! More lifting then I have ever done in my life! But I’m still loving it. And my muscles are too!

My purpose in life is not to review the buckwheat bake, but just because I know some of you are wondering, it never really filled me up! I had a slight empty feeling all morning, but not really hunger. That said, I went from 9am when I finished eating to 1:30pm when lunch was ready no problem at all. So it’s still a great breakfast, and I’ll be eating it again!

The one good thing about cloudy days is they make for vibrant food photographs!

IMG_5640Blog-2

I had a leftover slice of pizza (always heated up – cold pizza is gross!!) with an orange

IMG_5625BlogIMG_5626Blog

And a big salad with lots of toppings!

Salad-5Blog

  • Mixed greens
  • Carrot
  • Leftover pizza veggies
  • Avocado
  • Nutritional yeast
  • Dried fig
  • Dried cherrries
  • Olive oil, honey, lavender salt

Something is wrong with this picture below. Anyone know what it is!?

I was feeling munchy a little bit later and dug into my Aunt’s magical secret recipe oatmeal cookies and had two small ones for a snack. LOVE those! Looks like Larbs has been enjoying hers too! I’m guessing my mom hasn’t had any left since we left Towson!

Nibble nibble.

The key to warming up leftover pizza is to do it in a skillet or pan on the stovetop. The bottom gets crispy again and the top gets melty. Try it next time!

I knew the fork was on the wrong side right away! (I read all of Miss Manners’ book from front to back. For fun.) Anyway, the fork always goes on the left, whether you’re a lefty or a righty. Are those even words? The spoon and the knife are together on the left, with the spoon closest to the plate and the shark edge of the knife facing in. They both rest on your napkin. (In case of fine-dining emergencies, now you know 🙂 )

Just found your blog–LOVE IT! I love oatmeal, but have never branched out beyond brown sugar and raisins, so I’m anxious to try some of your concoctions. I find it doesn’t seem to fill me up, but I bet that’s because I’ve never mixed in any source of protein.
