Welcome Old Friend

Welcome humidity!!!! I love you. So many people complain about you, but you are my favorite part of summer. You’re like wearing a down comforter on my skin and I never get chilled, even after dark! Who cares about a little sweat ; )

IMG_9927

I discovered after a chilly morning at my desk that the outside is about 20 degrees warmer than the inside of my house. I have relocated my office to the porch!

Lunchtime called for cleaning out the fridge with a salad made of greens, carrot, olive oil, honey, lavender salt, hummus and goat cheese

IMG_9924

With a side of chips

IMG_9923

And greek yogurt + strawberries for dessert

Just finished an overhaul of my BERF week by week page –

And I have 1 hour till it’s time to leave for the doctor’s!!!

I feel the same way about the warm weather: I’d rather be a little sweaty than absolutely freezing! Bring it on!

    Good luck at the doctor’s!

    Hi Kath,

You look awesome! Is your greek yogurt completely plain (with strawberries of course)? I have tried and tried to eat plain greek yogurt with fruit on, or even sweetened with some honey or agave nectar, but I just can’t get over the bitter taste. Just wondering if it’s just me…..

It is, yes. I guess I just like the taste!? I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a little drizzle of honey to help you get in those important nutrients

I love the temps right now, but something tells me Atlanta is going to be hotter than the hubs of hell come this summer. I am currently inside wearing a sweat shirt that will immediately be removed when I have to leave in about an hour…

You don’t care about a little sweat because you don’t sweat! I, however, turn into a puddle! I still say ‘bring on the heat!’ though because my little garden needs to grow!

I’m one of those people that loves humidity, too! The hotter, the better. I figure I’m only allowed to complain about one season, so I use it all up during winter and praise the summer up and down. Happy Tuesday!

I love HEAT & HUMIDITY too, but of course, I grew up in Louisiana. I cannot stand cold weather! If the temperature is below 60, I am sitting on my porch with a throw over my legs! In the summer, we keep our ac at 78 degrees. Anything cooler than that and I have a blanket over my legs!

I like humidity in small doses. Thick, super dense, oppressive, dripping the minute you leave the house, no. But a little “blanket” effect in the air is fine. Not a wool one, just a linen one 🙂

When its super hot outside though… humid/dry, it’s just painful!

I hate the humidity! I can deal with the heat but it’s the humidity I cannot stand! It turns my hair into one frizzy mess! The strawberries and yogurt look so refreshing!

Good luck at your ultrasound 🙂

I am not one to welcome humidity. I do not like to be that hot. However, I will not complain about the humidity when it comes every year, because where we live it is only sunny and hot for a few months, and then back to dreariness and the cold for the majority of the year.
