You are here: Home / Weekend / Green Lungs

Green Lungs

I’m one of the lucky ones who doesn’t have seasonal allergies, but on a day like today, when the wind is blowing STRONG, I’ve probably sneezed 10 times while sitting in front of my window working! There is so much pollen in the air, I bet my lungs are green!

That ginormous bowl of oats filled me up well, but I think it was also too much of a mountain-valley eating curve because although I wasn’t hungry, my body was just a little off this morning and I felt a little nauseous around lunchtime, which wasn’t until 1:30.

Surprisingly, a salad sound great though! I piled greens with leftover beans, cheese and hummus plus a drizzle of olive oil, lemon juice and sea salt.

On the side, a roll with jam.

Hit the spot!

I sat at my computer working all morning, so I’m hoping to spend a little time in the kitchen this afternoon! I have a few things I’ve been meaning to make for ages 🙂

I wanted to miss class today but with a test I knew I would just have to suck it up. Guess what? No test. UGH! But still have another class with a professor that you know the kind, if you miss it they will hold it against you no matter what. So onward soldiers. Suffer now, graduate with honors later.

I don’t have seasonal allergies either my but 3 year old and husband both do. We just bought some local honey today because I’ve heard that helps! I am interested to try it out. And if it doesnt work, well its still tasty!

Those beans look awesome- mouth watering, even! Especially in that first photo.
And the cheese looks pretty darn tasty, too.

Oh I forgot! My daughter who only eats some fruit, beef and potatoes asked me to buy a pomelo. I jumped on it! We haven’t peeled it yet, as she wants to do it. But she even suggested I buy an avocado. I was bragging how your pictures have gotten me interested and want to add it as another layer in a sandwich. Well we found a Florida avocado that was nice looking. She wants half for a facial mask and said I can eat the other half. Hey whatever works to get them interested right? LOL

My sinuses/allergies have been bad! I had a sinus headache today, which had me in bed this afternoon while our daughter napped–not to mention I was also tired. I will not take anything for it, so I just let it run its course. The only thing that helps is when my husband rubs my shoulders and neck, because I have so much tension in those areas–I need a massage.
