I’m at a loss for words this morning.
Facts:
- The sun is out
- The sky is blue
- It’s Monday, but with a nice week ahead
- Strawberries taste better when slightly warm
- After a long relationship with greek yogurt, I picked up Whole Foods Organic Low-Fat and love it again!
- WF Honey Bunches is still my current favorite cereal
This bowl was a blend of plain yogurt, Honey Bunches, strawberries (nuked to get the chill off for my sensitive teeth!), banana, chia and peanut butter.
Earl Grey – fav morning tea!
May the words be ever in your favor!

Haha I just saw the Hunger Games this weekend so I love the quote!
ditto. just started book 3. don’t know why i didn’t start the whole series earlier. addicted!
i will always love greek yogurt the most, but yes, WF is a close second!! happy monday
Good Morning! You have made me so conscience of how much I eat now. I can say, I only eat 1 packet of instant oatmeal now. I add pistachios and dried cranberries too. So far 6 pounds lost since I first started reading your blog! (Plus the sodas and sweets I gave up for Lent) Small changes do lead to results!
Making your kale chips today! Need a new snack
Glad you’ve been successful!
Ooh, what a bright colorful bowl o’ goodness! Enjoy your day!
Your cereal bowl looks so pretty! I love the colors
Speaking of the Hunger Games, I still need to finish the book! GR! I want to see the movie already.
it’s beautiful and sunny out this morning here too! that instantly makes me happy. i’m also looking forward to the week ahead – it’ll be a good one i have a feeling. beautiful breakfast, as always!
Beautiful bowl! Sometimes few words are best. Have a fabulous day Kath!
I’m convinced you could run a bed and breakfast operation. Cute cottage style home and beautiful breakfasts.
Beautiful pictures this morning! Hope you have blessed day!
I had almost the same breakfast! Though my fridge is empty after a weekend of fun…so I turned to the freezer and found some frozen strawberries. Nuke em for 45 seconds in the microwave, and you’ve got warm berries plus a bit of berry juice to sweeten the yogurt tang!
I am eating a verrrry similar breakfast right now, but with blackberries. Just got them at WF yesterday and am amazed at how delish they are this early in the season!
Love the Hunger Games reference
those strawberries look really good! I’m thinking I might have to have that breakfast tomorrow. Even better I need to eat breakfast after I see your morning post. Everything always looks so good!
I can’t wait to see the Hunger Games movie for my birthday this weekend!
Let me know if you’ll be around you GF some time this Friday or Saturday
I’ll be there Friday from noon on and most of Saturday! I’ll look for the girl in the KERF shirt
love it. can’t wait
It is a lovely day here, too! I am so tired – and as a result have a loss of words! I made sure I was in bed early last night, too! Hate when that happens!
Beautiful sunny day today…with a slight chill in the air! Looking forward to the week leading up to Easter…long weekend ahead! Strawberries are everywhere now…yummy!
I COMPLETELY agree about strawberries. I’m in Charlotte this morning and still waiting for the sun to come out!!
Looks like a beautiful and colorful breakfast bowl!
Sounds like a perfect morning to me!
What a healthy bowl of goodness to start your day

Beautiful strawberries and glad you’ve been happily reacquainted with your old yogurt friend!
Perfect bowl of goodness! Enjoy your day Kath!
have a wonderful day!!!
Baby’s got your tongue?
That looks delish! I love creamy crunchy and fruity in the morning, its like dessert.
I’m going to see the Hunger Games today, so you definitely caught my attention. Happy Monday!
Sometimes it’s best just to list the facts if words are not naturally flowing. The breakfast looks great! A picture says 1000 words!
I like Greek Yogurt for some things but on cereal I love the Whole Foods organic low-fat! Sometimes the thickness of Greek yogurt is a bit much so I swing both ways.
The strawberries look so festive! And yes, I totally get it when the words fail to come…when you write for a living (or even for fun), some days they’re just not all there when you need ‘em. Rascally!
Earl grey tea is my fave too. I drink it decaf with a spoonful of honey and a splash of soymilk or 2% real milk.
HAHA. Great play on ‘words’ from the Hunger Games
I keep hearing about chia seeds everywhere. Seems like I need to give them a go. Happy to have stumbled upon this blog. I love good food…it makes me happy and I’m all about the happy.
Look for twinkles, follow the winks, find your happy.
Welcome!!
Sometimes simplicity is all you need
Ahh. I’m starting the third book soon. Can’t wait.
That bowl screams happiness to me. So many colors and so healthy. Love. Good way to start out the week.
Not me! I like my strawberries crisp and cold; not a fan of warm berries. I am a fan of Honey Bunches, though!
You have, without a doubt, the best breakfast bowls in the blogosphere.
Looks like a tasty breakfast bowl.
Just finished book one, so now I get the reference. After reading it in two days I now see what all the buzz is about. So addicting!!!
Hi Kath, I know you’re not big on giving amounts of food, but I am a calorie counter and try a lot of your breakfasts. Is there anyway you could aproximate the amounts of the items in this bfast?
Sure. This was about 1 cup of yogurt, a heaping half cup of cereal, 5 strawberries, 1/2 a medium-sized banana, 1/2 a tsp of chia seeds and a heaping tbsp of peanut butter.
Thanks, Kath!
