Words

IMG_8400-2Blog

I’m at a loss for words this morning.

Facts:

  • The sun is out
  • The sky is blue
  • It’s Monday, but with a nice week ahead
  • Strawberries taste better when slightly warm
  • After a long relationship with greek yogurt, I picked up Whole Foods Organic Low-Fat and love it again!
  • WF Honey Bunches is still my current favorite cereal

IMG_8403-2Blog

This bowl was a blend of plain yogurt, Honey Bunches, strawberries (nuked to get the chill off for my sensitive teeth!), banana, chia and peanut butter.

Bowl-2Blog

Earl Grey – fav morning tea!

May the words be ever in your favor!

Good Morning! You have made me so conscience of how much I eat now. I can say, I only eat 1 packet of instant oatmeal now. I add pistachios and dried cranberries too. So far 6 pounds lost since I first started reading your blog! (Plus the sodas and sweets I gave up for Lent) Small changes do lead to results!

I had almost the same breakfast! Though my fridge is empty after a weekend of fun…so I turned to the freezer and found some frozen strawberries. Nuke em for 45 seconds in the microwave, and you’ve got warm berries plus a bit of berry juice to sweeten the yogurt tang! 🙂

Hi Kath, I know you’re not big on giving amounts of food, but I am a calorie counter and try a lot of your breakfasts. Is there anyway you could aproximate the amounts of the items in this bfast?

Sure. This was about 1 cup of yogurt, a heaping half cup of cereal, 5 strawberries, 1/2 a medium-sized banana, 1/2 a tsp of chia seeds and a heaping tbsp of peanut butter.
