Sun tanned toes, tickling the sand
Cold drink chillin in my right left hand
After our sessions today, Matt and I went running to get rid of our indoor energy. 5 miles under our belts! HOT HOT HOT 5 miles. But FLAT FLAT FLAT was fun!
We changed into our suits and hit the beach
Lots of talking with the Columbia Great Harvest owners, sisters Jane and Chris! We’ll be doing a few days of training with them at their store in March.
Back up to shower, and then back down to the beach!
Pinot Grigio for me
My dress tonight was compliments of Mahi Gold, who sent it to me in the fall. It’s made with 95% organic cotton and is SO comfy! Fits me perfectly too size-wise, which is hard to come by!
I’ve really enjoyed talking – and laughing – with all the other owners. It sounds corny to say, but this company really is one big family.
Dinner tonight was faaaabulous!!! Fish right on the beach!
The buffet was set up with rolls and plantain chips
Ensalada
Sweet potato hash!! Lots of cumin. And sauteed veggies. And grilled mahi-mahi!!!!
Also, made-on-site seafood chowder
And grilled-on-site steaks
My plate featured a little of everything (sans the steak) and this meal was so amazingly delicious!
For dessert there was key lime pie tartlets
And bread pudding
But would you believe that I was so busy talking that by the time I went to get dessert around 9PM these were GONE!! I’ll have to make it up elsewhere : )
As evidenced by the fact that my husband is currently too tipsy to stand up…no idea where he is at the moment…
…everything gets hotter when the sun goes down.

Happy fun times at the beach!
I dig your shades, Kath. What be they?
Thanks! I have no idea where they came from! They are old!
That dress is gorgeous, but those tartlets might be prettier! Do you have any unscheduled Florida exploring time? You could get any number of tasty key lime things if you are out from the hotel. My favorite thing ever is a key lime pie milkshake that I got in FL a few years back.
Oh my, all that food looks wonderful!! Usually my eyes are glued to the dessert pictures, but the dinner items look amazingly delicious as well!
You look GORGEOUS!! I cant stop telling you how jealous I am of where you are!
What a beautiful, beautiful area
I so want to be on a beach right now…..you’re are lucky! Love that dinner- wow. I am going to make fish tomorrow–I am now inspired, thanks!!
Mmmm key lime pie tartlets….drool……
Must say I’m kinda jealous of your husband right now. Fed will, and tips on the beach in Florida. Not too shabby.
Love that dress! Very cute. I’m glad you’re having fun, and I like the song references.
Looks so perfect! I looove the dress and the food looks delish!
Kath, you look so fashion forward in that dress. Good pic
And I think I may open a GH just to get the change to attend this conference.. haha jk enjoy your time at the beach
That dinner looks incredible! The pinot grigio seems like the perfect complement.
The dress is very cute, too.
your dress is amazing. i need one of my own!
Too tipsy to stand up… haha! I know the feeling… not a fun one! Well, not the next morning, at least
Hahaha! Awesome. Enjoy the hot night with your new GH fam.
Your dinner looked delicious.
Looks like you are having a great time!
So I completely, 100% LOVE the fact that I “saw” both the sunrise AND sunset of Marco Island via your blogposts today. THANK YOU for that!
Also, you are so right, you’re dress is beautiful!! You are sooo living the dream, Kath! I’m so happy that you have found such a great group of people to work with… you are truly blessed!
THAT looks like a great meal!
Love the “too tipsy to stand up.” Tell him to sleep with one foot on the ground – stops the spins. Not that I would know…
The dress really is adorable.
Chowder on the beach – how wonderful!
beautiful pics!
love that dress!
Kath the pictures are gorgeous! you should be submitting these to the Fla Board of Tourism….they should be paying you for these amazing shots! WOW!!!
And your pink dress…it’s so Jackie o meets Fla meets chic. I LOVE IT on you!
It just gets better and better!! Awesome dinner, friendly-faced crowd, breathtaking atmosphere!! Looks like a fantastic time.
Looks like y’all had a super fun night! Love your dress btw…it looks great on you! Also love the “too tipsy to stand up.” Too funny!
This looks like such a great experience!
That food was seriously unreal looking. Mini key lime pie tarts OMG. It looks like you’re having a great time!
Ah! The Columbia GH was “my” GH when I lived in MD
It aches my heart a little because I miss that place <3 not just the GH – all of it.
What a meal! I love plantain chips – haven’t ever been able to find them quite as good as the ones in Belize. I’m craving some beach time after looking through your photos…
Kenny Chesney! Love it.
i can’t believe they ran out of dessert!
haha love it. Sounds like a rockin night. Fish on the beach, how fabulous
Heidi xo
I love that dress. I mean love, love, love it.
Looks like the perfect end to the day! Love your dress
Oh my! What a gorgeous dinner on the beach. I am loving this business trip!!! It makes me want to open my own GH store too!
Awesome and beautiful pics! Glad you are having fun
Girl when you said plantain chips I exploded basically. I LOVE plantains times a million, I have been to Nicaragua twice on mission and we basically live on plantains! Soooo good, I usually end up making tostones at least once a month:)
Sweet potato hash sounds amazing!
Love the dress and all of the sunshine! They picked a great location to host the conference
What an awesome post! “Sun tanned toes, tickling the sand” is my favorite line of the entire thing. The food looks absolutely incredible!
Hi, Kath!
Where do you get your tops for yoga (you’ve probably mentioned it before)? I’m always having to layer tanks and tops because they slide around so much during yoga…in all the wrong places haha
I’m hooked on these tanks from Patagonia (that I found at the outlet in Dillon, MT)

Thank you!!
Everything looks so fresh and simple – just the way it should be! And that dress is a gorgeous color on ya!
Hope you found Matt !
wow. this looks like the trip of a life time! what is this for again!?? I am sooooo jealous haha
Matt is quite the party animal these past two days huh!?
Loved the dress – and sweet potato hash? I’m all over that!
Super cute dress! And that food looks glorious. I’m really enjoying this trip to Florida I’m experiencing vicariously through you, Kath.
hey kath! I have a question about how you bring your breakfast stuff and snacks from home when you fly places? how do you get through security with that stuff? my mom always tells me they will make me throw it away? is that true or do you have to hide it or what? haha could be a really silly question… would love your help though!
Well I didn’t get the 5.3 oz yogurts through this time – that was a first for me. But the little nut butter packets are smaller so you just have to put them in a zip lock bag.
oh ok! so all the dry food was fine too?
thanks for replying!
That dress is so cute! If it ever goes missing from your closet you’ll know where to come looking…
See you tomorrow night?!
YOur pink dress is fabulous! I also love those green wine goblets! So fun!
I love how your dinner plate looks like a rainbow — so many fun colors (and they always say a variety of colors on the plate is healthy, right?!
) I love your dress, shades, and, oh yeah…those key lime tartlets!!
looks like so much fun!
I have to convince my husband so we can plan a trip to Charlottesville this fall and visit your GH store!
I love the print on the dress – and that color looks good on you!
All the food looked great, especially that chowder. I would love to have a bowl of that right now.
Hey Kath! Columbia GH is my store! Yeah! We’re in there at least once a week to pick up a loaf of bread and some treats. I recognized the owner in one of your pictures. So cool!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that dress. It’s SUPER flattering. I checked out Mahi Gold website – that company certainly knows how to get new customers:) Enjoy the sun!
Great post – Love the Chesney song reference!!
Hi there! I just found you blog last night and have already waisted so much time this morning at work reading it. I’m excited to see that for some people 150 lbs is just to much for them. I am just about right there and hoping to get myself down from it. Is there a way to subscribe to the blog so it will reach me each day or something I just check in with? Thanks for being healthy, I need the encouragement!
Welcome and good luck Lisa!
Gorgeous photos. I love the dress. And great looking dinner
beautiful pictures. beautiful post. Oh, and I hope you found Matt
.
Columbia GH = my Great Harvest. Yay!
Hope you found the hubs, haha.
That dress is perfect on you.
Your dress is so cute! The food looks incredible and made me realize how badly I need a vacation!
I JUST ordered that dress online!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I definitely just drooled all over myself looking at that dinner. YUM!
Hi Kath,
So glad you’re enjoying Florida… this has been a perfect February! I live here and am curious to know the hotel you’re at in Marco…? I’ve been there a few times and agree that it’s gorgeous, there’s nothing like the Gulf Coast of FL. Enjoy your final day and come back soon!
PS. Your recipes have been a godsend!
Marriott! It’s been amazing
You’re adorable(!), that dinner looks soooo delicious, & your last comment about Matt is funny.
Wow, what an amazing trip you’re having! Love that dress, so cute!
They’re sure feeding you well there!
Haha Matt sounds like he’s been partying like a frat boy lately! I hope you managed to find him.
I was about to comment on how well that dress fit you even before you mentioned it in the post! Awesome find!
Oh that bread pudding and square key lime tart look fabulously delicious!!!
LMAO at tipsy Matt!
That first photo is just so stunning! And man, those selection of foods looked so scrumptious, my mouth is watering just looking at those kiwi pies and sweet potato hash.
Love the dress…and that meal looks AMAZING (except I don’t like fish)…would still like to try some of everything else though!
