5:15: BEEP BEEP BEEP
[Snooze]
5:20: BEEP BEEP BEEP
[10 minutes of silence]
5:30:
Me: “I don’t want to go to bootcamp”
Matt: “We can skip it. We’ll go to the Y tonight instead”
Me: “Oh I do NOT want to do that!”
Matt: “Well then we should go this morning!”
Me: “Let’s just skip both.”
Matt: “I want to do one or the other”
[Silence]
Matt “Did you decide”
Me: “I am visualizing the options”
[Silence]
Me: “OK, we’re going to bootcamp”
And we did!
Of course, I was so glad. We had a lot of fun! 25 minutes of 60 second strength intervals and then repeat it all for a 50 minute circuit session.
Then home for a rush, rush, rush breakfast. [I am still rushing to type this!!]
Yogurt bowls!
Siggi’s was on sale at the Bozeman Co-Op – I got my favorite flavor
Topped with a banana, Quaker Oatmeal Squares, Crunchy Buckwheat Granola, trail mix and peanut butter.
Not sure peanut butter and orange-ginger really go together..
Super weak brown water. I need my coffee more than anything from home!!
Time to make some sandwiches!!

I like the idea of visualizing the options. That can help me a lot too. Plus, you always know you will feel better after a great workout.
I just tasted the Siggi’s yogurt…it is really good!
Have fun at sammy school today! I bought my first Siggi’s the other day (on sale at WF too! Almost half off). I did not get that flavor though and I’m blanking on what I got, but I’m pumped to try it!
Orange and ginger is definitely the best flavor I’ve had too. I haven’t tried them all, but that one is great! I saw the guy who started Siggi’s on TV last week talking about how he couldn’t find any yogurt in the U.S. that tasted like the yogurt from back home in Iceland, so he started making it. Cool story!
Good for you for getting up!
I did not.
My alarm went off at 4:55 this morning… I hit snooze, and then decided to reset it for 6! I figured that since I am only working a half-day today (weird MLK day schedule/snow “make-up”), that I could workout this afternoon.
~
I’ve always wanted to try a boot-camp style workout! Sounds like a great time:)
Slash orange-ginger mixed with pb would be a tad strange..but would probs be better with orange-cranberry! It’s my favorite new combo;)
Hehehe I don’t know what Matt’s voice sounds like, and I’ve only ever heard yours on Youtube, but that conversation made me laugh! Have fun at sandwich making school!
Visualizing is such a good idea. I have trouble getting up early. Even if I wake up early naturally I tend to let myself fall back asleep. This morning though I visualized catching up on my Google Reader and having a nice cup of coffee–that helped me wake up!
Siggi’s is SO good, but oh boy, I never buy it unless it’s on sale either. $2.69 for one little serving of yogurt is ridiculous. Glad you went to bootcamp and were glad you did so.
Good for you for getting out of bed! That’s really the toughest part.
I love it that you have Matt to push you to go– my husband would DEFINITELY just roll over and say, “Skipping it is fine!” ha!
Haha, I talked myself out of working out this morning. I had the same conversation, but in my head, I decided to move Monday’s workout to Saturday. Orange ginger sounds like a perfect combination in yogurt. Have fun making sandwiches today!
Too funny…way to visualize! I like that
I wish my bf would talk me into workouts, and not the other way around
It can be so hard to get up for a workout in the morning but so worth it when it’s done! Especially when it frees up your evening!
How funny that they forgot to change the year to 2011 on your coffee cup. Oops!
I wondered if anyone else was going to point that out so I didn’t have to. I can put down my Red Pen of Doom now, before I make red marks on the work computer.
It’s so hard to imagine my husband pushing us to get out of bed early to workout…he’s definitely more the “Let’s skip both” kind of partner
i’m impressed…normally my alarm goes off and then about an hour of silence, then an “OH CRAP I’M LATE!” emerges from my lips!
I love Siggis!
That yogurt bowl looks yummy! I love quaker oat squares. They remind me of my childhood. I can’t wait to see the sandwiches you make!
LOL! Is Matt for rent??? I could really use him to kick my butt out of bed in the a.m.!
yeah no kidding! And Kath, what made you not want to go to the Y so much? just curious
I just don’t like working out after work – esp. since we had planned to go out to dinner tonight. We’re going after tomorrow though.
Siggi’s is, by far, my favorite yogurt
If it wasn’t so pricey, I would have my fridge stocked with the stuff!
I’ve never tried Siggi’s but the orange ginger flavor sounds great! I think I’ll go out and buy some today
That mug is so cool! I can’t believe you got one with your pictures on it that fast!
Sweet mug!
Way to get up and going! I am always glad I did, in retrospect.
your thought process sounds very very familiar
But in the end, it’s always worth it!
love,
cathy b.
Haha…. I love that thought process. I always visualize my options! ;D
I love the thought process you went through this morning – good thing Matt told you he wanted to do something!
Hopefully they will have some good coffee at Great Harvest this morning for you!
Good for you for getting up and going! I definitely think any conversation like that with me in it would end with, “Then you go, because I am staying in bed.”
Have fun at sandwich school! much better than the classes I’ll be attending today.
LOL that is me every single morning. I have to set my alarm clock 15 minutes before the time I actually need to get up, because otherwise I’ll keep pressing it and I’ll be late.
What is a co-op?
What a super cute mug!
“Visualizing the options,” the only thing I can visualize at 5:30AM is the back of my eyelids!! Way to go motivation!
The mug is super cute and ya’ll are fast to get the photo on it
Ha, I liked your dialogue from this morning, especially “I’m visualizing my options.”
So funny. Hope you’re having a great day, Kath and Matt!
Visualizing always helps for me! Love that Matt wasn’t settling for skipping both! It’s great to have that extra push from someone!
Good for you for getting up! This morning I visualized my options. Bed won over. That means tomorrow I’ll be that much more into it, right?
You both have so much willpower. My husband doesn’t even wake up when the alarm goes off!
This is exactly how my morning went today! Mondays I work out with a personal trainer at 6am and that 5am wake-up is such a struggle. The only thing that gets me out of bed is knowing that she’ll be knocking at my door at 6
I firmly believe that peanut butter goes with anything!
Oh I’ve had that thought process more than once before, Ha!
But don’t you always feel just SO good after a hardcore workout in the morning?! Its the perfect start to a day.. especially a Monday!!! Good for y’all!
Why is Siggi’s so good- I mean what makes it so tasty/healthy? Also, I LOVE Quaker’s oatmeal squares–which flavor/variety is in your bowl?!
I haven’t been able to find Siggi’s in months.
I wish my stores carried the plain all the time! Love it.
Haha you are too funny having a full conversation to decide what to do… I give you a lot of credit I’m not sure I would have left my bed!
Your yogurt bowl looks delicious!
That looks like my kind of breakfast! And just a little PSA for any LA readers, THERE IS A GROUPON FOR GREAT HARVEST TODAY!
i love working out in the morning, but where i live, it’s hard to convince yourself to go outside in the morning (it’s sometimes minus 40!!
I have my best workouts in the morning but it is so hard to motivate myself to actually go do it. I’m always happy when I do, though!!
I would have rolled over and gone back to sleep. Good for you for going!
So nice Matt is motivating too, my hubby would have been happy to skip.
Great breakfast.
“I am visualizing the options”
I used your visualization trick to do yoga at 1 this morning, no joke! I was up all night working on a school project and my shoulders felt so closed and tight, and I visualized how I would feel if I did some shoulder opening work and did a gentle hatha 20 min practice from yogadownload! I was soooo happy I did it!
I’m glad you made it to class. Sometimes it’s just really hard to take the first step.
Your morning process sounds like mine… only I’m just trying to convince myself to get out of bed for work!
Whenever Siggi’s is on sale I always feel like I’ve won the jackpot! Orange & ginger rules.
I have that same dialogue with myself every morning!
The morning workout is always the best and worst part of the day…who really wants to leave the comfort of a warm bed, especially in winter time! Excited to hear all about sandwich making
hahahha- I’ve done that before
It does feel awesome to just get the workout done though! Glad you went. And what a delicious looking yogurt bowl- I love having a little of this little of that. Congrats on the Great Harvest training week. Y’all must be SO excited
I need a Matt in my life. It seems like on the days you can’t get motivated, he always encourages you to go. What a good accountability partner!
Am I crazy or does the mug say 2010? Still cute though!
Looks like it! I didn’t even notice. Good spotting!
HAHA – you are so right! None of us noticed!
Do you know how lucky you are to have your husband be so motivating?!! If I said “let’s skip both” to my husband, he would roll over and say, “okay”. LUCKY.
It’s good to have someone to get you motivated one days like that!
Do you work from home? I would love to know more about how to really take off with writing, etc. and blogging. I’ve read your posts – but these things take time!!EEK…I’m on the verge of quitting my job now – full panic money mode though….!
Do you eat before Bootcamp at all or after? And that’s EARLY
Ate after and nothing before – just water. We didn’t have time to get hungry.
Yes, I work from home until we get this bakery open
LOL – love the thought process! That’s great. Kudos to you for getting up and getting it done!
I would have visualized all my options and stayed in bed
I am so very impressed by your dedication!!!!
I want more of these morning dialogues. That was hilarious!!
Haha you two are so funny! You’re lucky you have Matt to kick your butt into working out.
Oh wow. I can’t believe you guys and your commitment! I can’t even get myself to go for 15 minute runs…
loved the ‘thought process’
I agree… boot camp was the right choice!
Great post! You’ve actually inspired me to head to the gym early so I can shower and enjoy breakfast at home instead of using the gym’s facilities and packing a breakfast to scarf down on campus. We’ll see how it goes when the alarm sounds
Oh Lord, your rushed post seems like mine today as well. Let’ s just say I was 30 minutes late for work due to blogging
I made oatmeal in a peanut butter jar this morning for the very first time, and it’s delish
I think i learned this trick from your blog, so THANKS, MERCI, GRACIAS!!
