The Laundry Runs Through It

Major laundry time!!

IMG_8490Blog

We brought two Tide packets with us to do laundry mid-way through our trip (Matt’s planning a second load after I leave). Sure made packing easier. And I have to say I’m glad to have clean socks again!

In between our loads of laundry, we decided to find a Montana western movie to watch tonight. After some Netflix association searching and Googling “Best Westerns” (haha – we’re no longer staying at the Best Western!) we realized Karen has been raving about A River Runs Through It for ages and her love for Montana and we’d never seen it. Perfection! Netflix online is so amazing for travel.

IMG_8502Blog

We piled up our dinner plates and got cozy with the movie.

IMG_8495Blog

Our to-go deli salads included a kale and fennel salad, a kamut and feta/olive, African-spiced vegetables and a curried brown rice + tempeh.

IMG_8492Blog

Plus a bonus salad bar mix

IMG_8493Blog

I would have paid $25 for this amazing plate of food in a restaurant!

IMG_8499Blog

Everything tasted amazing – especially the tahini dressing on the salad salad. We added a hunk of Great Harvest Honey Whole Wheat on the side.

And for dessert – mint dark!

We’re starting our morning early again with Kathy’s boot camp one more time. And then we have to be at the HQ by 8AM. It’s going to be a crammed-in morning again! Hard to believe I go home on Thursday!

I love this. We always do laundry before we go home if we are gone for more than 2 or 3 days. It makes it so easy to go home and everything is already clean. I am really loving your “bar foods”. I don’t know why I have never thought of this. It would be so much easier to load up a box at a really yummy healthy bar than to scour a city for restaurants for every single meal.

Grocery stores. I look for the healthy ones with salad bars and delis. Most cities have a Whole Foods, but when they don’t, there are often comps.

I always used to bring tide packets on vacations.

They seem so expensive though and only have a tiny bit in them.

I started bringing powdered or liquid detergent in little plastic baggies. I

It saves money AND I can control the bubbles 🙂
