Pancake feast!!! I am always the first one up on Sundays, so I cook breakfast. Matt usually takes about an hour to fully wake up, as he should on his day off. I love to surprise him with a cheerful “Breakfast is ready!!” and he stumbles out to see what we’re having. Today – pancakes!
Banana + Salted Almond Kodiak Cakes
Topped with Wild Squirrel PB, chia and coconut.
Decaf (shhh don’t tell him it isn’t regular!)
And a sunny day to enjoy them!

Pancakes are the best on Sunday mornings. That’s what we had here too with coconut butter on top! Yum!

What is the difference between Kodiak cakes and regular pancakes?
Kodiak cakes are an all-in-one whole wheat pancake mix whereas regulars have to be made from scratch
I just finished eating Kodiak cakes myself! Mine were of the pumpkin, cinnamon chocolate chip variety with good ol’ fashioned PB on top

I love to surprise my husband with breakfast on the weekends, too. Luckily the cat singles me out to wake up for breakfast so I’m always up first. Lately I’ve been making whole wheat waffles of insane greatness.
