As it turns out, it’s ME who is filling the OpenSky bags by hand Winking smile

But I don’t mind because I <3 you guys!

IMG_3560 (427x640)

CLUSTER HEAVEN!!

IMG_3565 (640x427)

I was thinking on my [hot] bike ride in that on days when I run I eat breakfast much later (like 8:30 vs. 7) but still eat lunch at the same time.

However, I proved myself wrong today! I didn’t even want to think about eating until well after 1 and had lunch at 2. I still wasn’t even that hungry. So odd!

IMG_3567 (640x427)

I had a Monticello Garden on Dakota. The hummus was extra lemony and thick today – love it!

IMG_3570 (640x427)

Watermelon jello shots on the side

IMG_3568 (640x427)

[just kidding – not jello at all! No idea why they look so cubed!]

IMG_3566 (640x427)

Had a few clusters for dessert. They are hopefully shipping out tomorrow to OpenSky’s warehouse to ship to you!

Until the evening…

Yaaaaaaaay! So excited for those babies – I hope you made my bag extra clustery ;)

Thank you for filling them all up for us! I don’t know whether to say “hopefully there aren’t too many to fill!” or “hopefully there are A LOT!” – both could be good things but I’m assuming a lot will be the better of the two options so I’m going with that.

I’m so happy I get to support Great Harvest and what you guys are doing (even if from afar) – but I DO still hope to make it down there one day for a visit :)

Also – I had hummus for lunch today too, but yours just totally trumped mine…

Yeah that would be nice.

Hunger is weird – if I’m ‘hungry’ but get stuck in a meeting for an extra hour, then afterwards I may not feel hungry at all. I still eat though ;)

7 Lisa @ Sunny Seed Stories July 13, 2011 at 1:49 pm

Maybe it’s just getting too hot to eat (gasp). You should make sure to keep your A/C on just in case! ;)

I find the same thing with running! I can have breakfast 2hrs later than normal after a long run, but still eat lunch at the same time- although sometimes I NEVER get hungry after a run. It’s weird :/
Have a lovely afternoon!

The watermelon is cut into such perfect cubes — it does almost look like jello.

And those hunks of granola — I love the big chunks like that.

Do you ever go for a run after getting home from your bike commute? I often bike for transportation and prefer to run at night, but can’t seem to do both on the same day after long slogs up hills on my bike. Are morning runs before the commute what you’ve found to work best?

Reply

46 KathEats July 13, 2011 at 8:42 pm

I can’t run in the evenings – I’m either too hungry or too full! And you’re right that after biking I would probably be too tired too

The hat looks super cute on you Kath!

I totally feel you on the change in meal times and how it totally can throw us for a loop! I eat Bfast at 745 every day…. If I eat later than that…even an hour later… it takes me forever to be hungry for lunch and I usually want something much lighter.

Again, The super perfectly cubed watermelon is totally epic! Haha cheers!

Isn’t is strange how occasionally you’ll have a suuuper hungry day, and then one like you had when you’re not so hungry? I’ve been on a two day very hungry streak, don’t know why?! Wonder if it had to do with weight training cuz I stepped mine up this week, so maybe I need to feed my muscles! Who knows…
