Except for one!!
A big puddle of drippy Wild Squirrel Chocolate Sunflower Butter!
The squirrels sent us a few sample packets of new flavors at the bakery, and I couldn’t wait to try out this flavor since I love sunflowers. Believe it or not, that puddle is only about 1 tbsp (half the packet) because Matt had the other half (I do think I got the drippier half
)
He was home for breakfast after a run this morning! Hats off to the chef.
Whipped banana oatmeal with cottage cheese, sunflower butter and coconut!
Gone way too fast
May showers bring…June greenery!
I put some in my pocket for our next rainy day!

Oooh those new flavours (well, from the little bits I can see) sound delicious! I wonder if they’re available in stores yet? I’m intrigued by the one that appears to have espresso in the title!
Yeah, they are on their website I think
Did you see Wild Squirrel on Shark Tank?
I didn’t – I havent’ seen that show
I love sample packets of nut butters – it’s a great way to test it out without buying the whole jar!
Agreed! I always want to try interesting flavors, but I’m nervous to commit to a whole jar. Packets are the way to go! Can you buy sample packets on the Wild Squirrel website?
Yup
(Or you can just come to the bakery and taste them Lindsey!)
Oh! That would be fun! I’ll try to make it in soon
I stopped in today after work and sampled the “Sneaky Cinnamon” and “Curious Cocoa-Nut” flavors. Cocoa-Nut won the taste test…and it was so drippy! It would be perfect for breakfast “puddles”
Next time I come to the bakery I might have to buy some Wild Squirrel to take home…
Yay!
How lucky are you to have nut-butter sending squirrels?!
I saw the girls from Wild Squirrels on Shark Tank on Friday!!!
I love getting sample packets! I travel a lot, so they are perfect to take with to add to hotel oatmeal in the morning. the only downside is that you can’t really make overnight oats in a packet…
I always look forward to your posts. I need to start jumping on the sunflower butter bandwagon. It looks amazing mixed with cereals and yogurts. I’m sitting here eating my bowl of wheaties wishing I had some.
I have never heard of these squirrels…I must try. I just got into Justin’s almond butter (I had previously thought I didn’t like almond butter for some reason) so I’m excited to try some new stuff. Any idea whether they have them in Tennessee?
Any chance you will be doing another Wild Squirrel sale on Opensky anytime soon?? I
It’s still going strong there now! https://opensky.com/katheats/product/wild-squirrel-almond-butter-and-peanut-butter-4-pack
We’re havng waterfalls here in NJ. Longing for some sunshine.
Enjoy the sunny day! It’s still raining over here.
Love the packaging of the Wild Squirrel…kind of retro looking! Cinnamon Raisin sounds intriguing!
I just finished watching Wild Squirrel on Shark Tank and couldn’t help but think of you!
that sunflower butter looks especially drippy and delicious this morning!
Chocolate sunflower butter? Now this sounds good, I would love some on my oatmeal!
There should always be puddles of sunflower (peanut, almond, cashew) butter!
Oh, seeing green makes me so happy! And the sunflower butters look pretty great, too.
so excited…just ordered 4 packs of no bull burgers sent up here to Massachusetts! Yay. Thanks for the tip:-)
Woohoo!
I love that bowl!
Chocolate Sunflower Butter sounds about perfect!
Its the complete opposite for us in Mumbai- May greenery & June showers!
Your sunshine yard looks beautiful!
The girls who created Wild Squirrel were on Shark Tank the other night. So cool to see their story! I had no idea they were so young.
gorgeous day there!!! it’s dark and raining buckets here in jersey. your oatmeal looks great, too. maybe I’ll do the same with my crunchy cookie butter on top.
Hi Kath,
I’m looking for an cost effective rice cooker to make my oats in. What brands would you recommend that are not too expensive? Thanks!
The one I bought was this one: http://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-NS-TGC10-Cooker-Warmer-Stainless/dp/B000MAERM0/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1337107682&sr=8-8
Anything by the Zojirushi brand is bound to be good, but I have no experience with any other models
I’m in college and we bought a really cheap one for our apartment, but my mom uses a nicer quality at home. Honestly I can’t taste the difference between the two and the amount of time is pretty much the same. I would look on amazon to get reviews for whatever price range you’re looking for, but I think they’re all pretty much the same (only my opinion!)
Great! Thank you for your help!
I love your bowl! So cute! Where’d you get it?
It’s from Anthro!
mmm..that wild squirrel nutbutter looks fab!! enjoy your day of sunshine!
ommgmsshhh I love SSB and Wild Squirrel!! Gotta find me some of that choc SSB….and it is sooo gorgeous out there~glad you’re finally getting some spring/summer
Yum! Chocolate sunflower seed butter? I totally need to try this- sounds ridiculous good. Have a great day!
Those Wild Squirrel flavors sound delicious! I’m having trouble storing my nut butters. I would love the drippy consistency that you have, but mine always stiffen with a layer of oil at the top. I know that some people prefer to store their nut butters in the fridge to avoid the oil separation, but I don’t like cold nut butters OR thick consistency. Do you suppose I’m just choosing poor brands or is there something I should be doing to avoid thick, separated butters? Thanks!!
It might just be the brands. Mine don’t tend to separate that much – I just give them a few good stirs in the beginning
I know you said you don’t like them cold, but in case you’re willing to give it a shot, I store my almond butter in the fridge upside down. It’s never thick and eliminates the oil separation, but I’m sure it varies by brand/kind of nut butter
real talk: c-ville is so much nicer than upstate new york. one day I will come visit!
Cinnamon raisin peanut butter and the chocolate coconut peanut butter sound so good!!
I love the little sample packets! They look delicious too!
Chocolate coconut peanut butter sounds like something my husband and daughter would like.
