“I feel it in my fingers…I feel it in my….toes. Christmas is all around us…”
Love that song
This morning after a shower I went out walking – with my novel! I wanted to read, but I also wanted to enjoy our first sunshine in a number of days, so I combined the two. There’s really no secret to reading and walking – just use your peripheral vision
I walked for about an hour and came home to quick re-heat lunch.
Jalapeno Cheddar Bread from Great Harvest. My gosh this stuff is amazing. Look at the layers of cheese!
And leftover Throw-In-A-Pot Vegetarian Chili topped with some more chez -
My two slices heated in the broiler -
I was still a bit hungry and went back for some fresh grapefruit –
I spent the afternoon finishing Love Actually. This was my second time watching it and I think I liked it even better this time around.
I’m not sure when the husband is expected home, but if he comes home soon I might skip CardioFunk tonight. I’m supposed to leave in about 30 minutes, and I’m not really feeling up to getting all gross and sweaty. I might just stay home, but I’ll have to see how I feel when it’s time to make the decision (and if he’s home or not.)
Still haven’t wrapped those presents. Guess it’s time to get on that.

Mmm, chili!!
I vote for staying home to wrap presents – ’tis the season, after all
I haven’t wrapped any presents either- I hate it. My first few are all creative and nice and then after that its wrapping papers. No ribbons, no nothing.

More Love Actually!! And I just found serendipity so I will watch it tomorrow!!
Walking AND reading? WOW
Love Actually is SUCH a great movie. I love the scene where Colin Firth proposes. The way they mess up each others’ languages is adorable. “Just in cases…”
I want to make that chili so bad…but it’s -2 degrees and I can’t go get the ingredients!!
That bread does look amazing! I love the walking and reading. That takes skill (whether you realize it or not..).
I just don’t know if I’m coordinated enough for the walking/reading thing. I think it needs to be tried one of these days though. Although I think I’ll wait until it’s NOT blizzarding outside. So maybe summertime haha.
I’ve also never seen Love Actually. I feel like that’s one of those movies that EVERYONE has seen. And I feel like I’m missing out. Rental time perhaps?
im not sure i could try walking and reading! i concentrate too hard on the music.. i would for sure trip and FALL!
i love Love Actually.. great movie!!
I used to walk and read all the time. It looked affected and odd on an eight-year-old, but now I bet I could pull it off, as I’m sure you do.
Today I made oats with soy eggnog and fat-free yogurt and they FINALLY looked as tasty as the kind you make. I was so proud.
We’re having chili tonight too! YUM!
Have a great night.
