Titles I considered but nixed because they sounded too much like baby was here:
“Surprise Lunch Guest”
“Unexpected Fun"
“Change Of Plans”
So I went the boring route!
I was having a calm morning finishing up my last few BERF posts (I’ve completed all the way to 40 weeks!) and doing laundry when I got a text from my college roommate Meredith that she and her fiancé were in town and did I want to meet them for lunch at the bakery!?
Luckily I hadn’t even thought about lunch yet so I hopped in my car and drove down to meet them.
I enjoyed a Monticello Garden sandwich with Swiss cheese and lemon hummus on Multigrain Sourdough.
Plus a selection of Route 11 chips! Dill Pickle and BBQ : )
And for dessert, we split a S’mores cookie 4 ways <3
I’m just finishing up some photo editing and my 39 week post and then hope to hunger hunker down with a book for a long while!

Have you pre-planned a “baby is on the way” post?
Nope!
LOL!! I am sure those other titles would have created quite a stir!! Kath now it seems like we are as anxious as you to meet the baby
the 39 week post…time flies, right?
great company. and great cookie!
Ha! If you can go into labor, labor, deliver, AND recover between a breakfast and lunch post you will probably set a world record.
That sourdough looks delightfully spongy! The best kind! Here’s hoping for one of those titles to make an appearance soon
What a cute day
Have you thought about how KERF might change in posting and format once the baby arrives or will you try and keep it the same?
I’m excited to see posts with you and the baby!
Hope you are having a great weekend!
Yeah, I think I’ll probably drop to 2 posts a day for a while – but I really have no idea!
Ooooo I need to get in some quality reading time too!
I’m glad you choose the boring title…
I’ve been checking your blog everyday to see if he is here!!
So what book are you reading? I’m always interested!
A cheesy read called Love Unscripted that I got for cheap after someone recommended it as a good romance. Life of Pi and Jenna’s new book are waiting on the sidelines!
LIfe of Pi is a great read! It’ll get you very excited to have a bigger kiddo in your life. It’s wonderful.
I can’t wait for Jenna’s book!
I am just waiting for your “On Our Way To The Hospital” post title

Some day you should eat the whole cookie yourself, just for kicks!
Yesterday I snarfed down an entire loaf of Great Harvest Extreme Cinnamon Chip almost all on my own! Delicious!
Our cookies are huuuuuge. But someday…
Just curious, do you have to supply nutrition labels for your bakery products? I would imagine that that when Matt is experimenting to come up with new items, you’d have to have some sort of software nutrition analysis program to be able to determine the label.
It’s not required, no, but we do have them for almost all products and we have the resources to make them in-house.
Your friend has the same smile as Molly Shannon! Very cute! Enjoy the night, Kath!
S’mores cookie?! Oh heavens…
What do you use to edit your photos? Also, what kind of camera do you have? Your photos are always incredible.
Thanks Christina! I shoot with a 5D Mark II and edit in Lightroom. You can see all the details in this post: http://www.katheats.com/lights-camera-action
looks like a great day
