Happy Saturday

Foodblog-4481

Morning!! I am so, so, so thankful for another good night’s sleep. I was up at 7am, but I’ll take that over 3,4,5 or 6 any day! I actually stayed in bed reading and relaxing for a long while before getting up to make some breakfast.

Foodblog-4471

Cville Crunch French toast with seared banana, Cville Cluster Granola, chia seeds and sunflower butter. All my favorites in one!

I have purposefully cleared my calendar this week except for one major event on Tuesday, so I’m hoping to do just a little bit of work today and a lot of relaxing.

Miss Adventure Karen Monson just returned from a biking trip in Maine, so we might go see a movie this weekend together! The gloomy weather sure calls for movie time.

Hurray for sleep! You must be getting pretty excited. What movies are you looking at seeing? I heard that the new Bourne movie isn’t very good. Have a wonderful Saturday 🙂

I loved Hope Springs! It is a “chick flick” though. My friend and I have spent a lot of time in Maine and were just loving the scenery.

I’m actually drooling. Really must make a trip to my GH soon! Too bad it’s 50 minutes away 🙁 silly rural living.

    Morning, Kath!

Yet one more increasingly popular professional venue for RD’s (in light of yesterday’s discussion):

My mum said that before she went into labor with all of her 7 babies (not all at once, of course) that she fell into the deepest, most wonderful sleep for 2 hours, and then she would wake up, and know that it was time. About half the time, she woke up rested, and in labor, and then the other half, it started withing a few hours.
This, of course, never happened to me. 🙂

    Hey Kath,

I know you guys shipped my package but USPS had the package in my state then sent it to another state?! (I’m seeing all this on my tracking page) It says its supposed to be delivered today but how can that be when its in another state! Its very hot out and I don’t want the granola to go bad. I paid $12 for shipping so this is disappointing.

USPS was not very friendly 🙁 they were just trying to get off the phone.

      Hi Jenica, welcome!!

For French toast, I just crack and egg in a bowl with some cinnamon and vanilla and then soak a slice of hearty bread in it for about 30 seconds per side. Sear in a pan over medium-low heat until egg is nicely cooked!
