I have a new favorite airport!!!

Free (working + fast) internet

A stunning mountain view

A deck for outdoor pleasure, in warmer weather of course.

And a rotunda (of course!)

The security line was one person deep, and the staff was super friendly. And we’re just 15 minutes from home – no traffic what-so-ever.

Do we look like organized travelers!?

Also, CHO = carbohydrate. And I love those too!

2 Stacy @ Every Little Thing December 9, 2010 at 10:40 am

I was just there, leaving after DMB weekend. You don’t have to get there early at all! haha. It was nice and I wish it had been warmer for us to go out on the patio.

Nice airport! I love when there are no lines at the airports and the staff is friendly! Safe travels!

4 Alina @ Duty Free Foodie December 9, 2010 at 10:41 am

I love traveling and, thus, airports. I have a question for you: Do you ever feel weird walking around someplace like an airport with a DSLR? I took my DSLR to the farmer’s market a few weeks ago, and everyone was kind of looking at it and I was wondering if this was something you got used to over time.

5 Kath December 9, 2010 at 10:45 am

Nahhh. I just look like a tourist!

6 Beth @ Beth's Journey to Thin December 9, 2010 at 10:42 am

1 person in the security line!?!? You lucked out!!

7 Amy at TheSceneFromMe December 9, 2010 at 10:42 am

What a smooth airport. Hope your flight is just as smooth as your time in the airport has been. Keeping my fingers crossed that the security line is short for me tomorrow too!

CHO = carbs :) Haha, I love them, but not when studying them in biochem!

9 Kate (What Kate is Cooking) December 9, 2010 at 10:44 am

What a nice airport!

10 Camille December 9, 2010 at 10:45 am

What a lovely airport! I always live near big airports. Some of them aren’t so bad, but some are a pain :/

11 Estela @ Weekly Bite December 9, 2010 at 10:50 am

I love free-wi-fi at airports! It should be mandatory at every airport :)

safe travels!

12 Christin@purplebirdblog December 9, 2010 at 10:52 am

Your coat is super cute! :)

13 Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat December 9, 2010 at 10:53 am

Gorgeous tree! Glad you got some wi-fi to keep you occupied. Have fun! :)

14 Michele @ Healthy Cultivations December 9, 2010 at 11:00 am

I love rating airports too. Houston is at the bottom of my list!!!

15 Anna @ Newlywed, Newly Veg December 9, 2010 at 11:02 am

Smaller airports can be SO nice when everything is running smoothly!!

16 grocery goddess jen December 9, 2010 at 11:04 am

Yay for free wireless and closeby airports!

17 Vanessa December 9, 2010 at 11:10 am

That does look like a nice airport!! Gorgeous tree!! I wish I looked that organized when I traveled!! Usually I am juggling all of my stuff because I overpacked as usual. Have a great trip!

18 VeggieGirl December 9, 2010 at 11:15 am

GORGEOUS airport!

19 Katy (The Singing Runner) December 9, 2010 at 11:19 am

Wow! This is a spectacular airport! The prettiest I’ve ever seen (and I’ve done quite a bit of traveling for a 20 year old. ;))

20 RhodeyGirl December 9, 2010 at 11:25 am

I love our airport in RI the way you love CHO… PVD is my favorite!!!!

21 Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) December 9, 2010 at 11:29 am

Looks like you two really have started this trip off on the right foot! Have a great flight!

22 lynn (The Actors Diet) December 9, 2010 at 11:30 am

free wifi at airports – score! now let’s hope you get it on the plane too!

23 Natalia - a side of simple December 9, 2010 at 11:40 am

It’s all better with free wifi. and no lines! Safe travels!!

24 Mom December 9, 2010 at 11:40 am

Looks fun! I’ve never seen outdoor seating at an airport.

Say hey to you sis and Matt for me!

25 Samantha @ Bikini Birthday December 9, 2010 at 11:42 am

The Manchester NH airport is a lot like that too. Very quiet, clean, and easy to get to.

I love Detroit’s DTW though because it’s brand new, and Delta hub, and it takes me a half hour to get there and I don’t even live in the US!

26 Paige(Running Around Normal) December 9, 2010 at 12:09 pm

That sounds like a very nice and accomodating airport! :) Safe travels, guys!

27 Katie (The Boston Marathoner) December 9, 2010 at 12:18 pm

Nothing is better than free internet in airports – I could be quite happy for hours!

28 Abbie December 9, 2010 at 12:45 pm

PLEASE tell me a) you got that coat this year and b) where you found it. I LOVE it and have been on a mission to find a great grey tweed coat. Lol. Love your site :o)

29 Kath December 9, 2010 at 12:47 pm

Loehmanns last year!

30 Kiran December 9, 2010 at 3:01 pm

Chic dress ups!

31 Amanda December 9, 2010 at 4:24 pm

i love your coat! You two definitely look like you are prepared for the cooler weather. (it’s 80 in Southern California!)

32 Amy December 9, 2010 at 5:34 pm

CHO is so great. I’ve only been there once (and I departed on a 6:20 a.m. flight on a horrendous crop duster that I thought was going to kill me) but the airport itself was easy.

33 Hannah December 9, 2010 at 5:41 pm

Gosh, I remember the free internet at CHO being a lifesaver when my flight to Florida got canceled earlier this year! Point of reference: not a single airport in Australia has free WiFi.

34 Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin December 9, 2010 at 7:11 pm

Is it sad that carbohydrate is the first thing that came to my mind when I saw “CHO”? :P

35 Melissa @ I Never Imagined December 9, 2010 at 8:08 pm

Yay, I love small airports!

36 Ana December 9, 2010 at 9:01 pm

Ha, and I thought you were going to say something about carbohydrates!! This nutrition mind we have! :-)

37 Dee December 9, 2010 at 10:07 pm

Wow! This is such a nice and peaceful looking airport!

38 steph December 11, 2010 at 2:20 am
