Chilled To The Bone

January 4, 2009

All I wanted for lunch was something warm. Soup to the rescue!!

I had about a cup of this Pacific brand soup. It was excellent. No canned aftertaste. All flavor.

On the side – a bread buffet

And half a pear (split with the husband)

And Eating Well Magazine.

I’m a’workin’ away on my computer – playing with new themes and such. You may have seen a few themes this morning, including on DISASTER!!!

I BROKE THE BLOG!!! There was a fatal error on a page and everything was frozen solid. But I fixed it with the help of my superhero, ZestyCook.

That was a close one.

I’ve got some more stuff to do around the house, then we’re headed to CardioFunk (well, me there and the husband to his own workout equipment) around 5pm.

Adios!

Cardio funk sounds fun. Is it dance aerobics? The only Pacific foods brand soup I have tried is the creamy tomato and it is by far one of my fave store bought soups. Enjoy the rest of you day.

I’ve had my blog “explode” on me in the past! I have a heart attack every time!

I’m giving the yogadownload.com a try this afternoon. Thanks for your recommendation!

Hi Kath -
I am a fellow magazine “nut”…
How many do you subscribe to and how do you keep the magazine clutter under control in your house. I always seem to have a few stacks messing up the house and almost feel guilty recycling them quickly after they’re read. Do you keep yours for long? What do you do with them then?

Oh love it! Nothing warms you up more than a delicious bowl of soup!

Hey Kath, I hope this isn’t a redundate question, have you found a grocery store that carries the Honest Foods Granola Planks? I was sent a coupon for them but our Whole Foods doesn’t stock them. My other options are Earthfare, Fresh Market, and Weaver St Market – any suggestions on which think is my best bet?

Mmm, that soup sounds so flavorful and delicious. I’ve never tried any of their soups but always hear rave reviews.

Kath, After you purchase the Gentle Hath Yoga, do you have to be connected to the internet to use it? Or is it downloaded to your hard drive? Thanks!!

Bread buffet… my kind of lunch right there.
Glad to hear Zesty saved the blog. He seems to be quite the computer savvy one. Gotta love when people who know what they’re doing can come to the rescue. Computer stuff can be SUCH a pain sometimes.

yum…I’m not sure which looks better, the soup or the pear! I think I’m leaning towards the pear.

That curried lentil soup looks yummy. I use bought some lentils from the store and I usually make lentil and barley soup but I might look for a recipe for the curried one. Have a nice evening.

Lisa ,
I get over 10 subscriptions (although I am DEVASTATED that my favorite Cottage Living has gone under!!). I have a collapsible box where they all go when they come in my laundry room. I read at least 3-4 a week at the gym and I leave them at the gym on the racks for others to read when I am done.

Jessica ,
I’ve never seen them in a store – in fact, I think WF is the only store that anyone has ever reported seeing them in. If you get them through Amazon along with another item you could get SuperSaver Shipping.

Jackie ,
Nope, no internet needed. I even took them by flash drive to Bald Head to put on my laptop. They are simply MP3′s when you DL them.

Help Kath! I want to try a pear (haven’t had one since I was a little girl) but I have no clue which kind to buy and what I should be looking for in terms of choosing a ripe one. Jenna told me she likes red pears the best—what is your opinion? Thanks for your help—hope you’re having a nice night!

How is this my 3rd comment? Sorry about that….Kath, which magazines do you subscribe to? I’m always looking for new ones:)

Tina ,
Hooray!

Fancy ,
Bosc. Totally bosc. I hate green pears. I like the bocs brown gritty skin and they don’t have that artificial pear taste!

I subscribe to all of the magazines. My favorites:

Health
SELF
Better Homes and Gardens
Body + Soul
Natural Health
Cottage Living – may it rest in peace
