Good morning I hope some of you have already started your Thanksgiving week celebrations. We are [hopefully] going to be very busy at the bakery Monday – Wednesday but then we have a really nice few days off with lots of family celebrating coming to our house. I’m joining Matt at the bakery after lunch today and plan to be there all day Tues + Wed as well. Yesterday’s pie-making extravaganza was a success!
Breakfast this morning was a bowl of greek yogurt topped with banana, bran flakes, chias, coconut and Wild Squirrel Cocoa-Nut Butter. Absolutely love the texture + flavor of that squirrel!
Coconut tea to match, topped with a pile of foam [FYI, I make this with a cheap IKEA frother!]
Have a good day!

Delicious breakfast! I love all the different textures you put into the bowl!
I need to get that frother from Ikea. Happy Monday!
Mmm! Foam on tea! Sounds delicious.
My cheap Ikea frother and stove top espresso maker both work great. Isn’t that awesome?
Coconut tea?! That would make me want to go to the beach.
Happy Turkey Week!
Best wishes to the bakery this week! : ) PS. hope Santa brings me a frother in my stocking!!!
Yum! I’ve got some Wild Squirrel Sneaky Cinnamon and I can’t wait to bust it open and give it a try tomorrow. Glad the pie making was a success!
I’ve got to get my hands on those squirrel nut butters!!
I need to buy some bran flakes. How much yogurt do you use in your morning bowls?
1/3 a cup?
Coconut tea? Yum!!! I love anything that smells like suntan lotion, haha
Love all the coconut- such a distinct flavor!
A healthy breakfast is a great start to a busy week. Good luck at the bakery. Have fun!
i didn’t even think about it, but this must be crazy time for the bakery! i would love to have some GH bread at our t-day table… have a great week!
Sounds like a busy, but fun week you have ahead of you! I love your bowl by the way!
That’s a breakfast to ‘brighten’ anyone’s day…the colours are spectatcular…on top of that a coconut tea that just screams summer! Your off to a great start for your busy day!
Love the name of the post – cute! The nut butter looks yummy!
The Great Harvest in my hometown used to make rolls and loaves of bread that looked like little turkeys for Thanksgiving. Is the Charlottesville one being similarly festive? Regardless, I am sure it will be a very busy couple of days for you and Matt!
Oh cute! I don’t think we have plans to do that this year…but we will investigate!
Love the title of the post
I can only imagine how busy you’ll be at the bakery – this must be your craziest time of year! Good luck out there!
Sounds like you have a busy yet fun week ahead of you! Hard to believe Thanksgiving is already here! I have been adding coconut to my oatmeal and yogurt to add a subtle hint of nautral sweetness! I hope you have a wonderful start to your week!
Oh my Heaven, FOAM!!
Beautiful breakfast as always. Have fun with all the hustle and bustle I am sure awaits you at the bakery.
After seeing all of the successful teas that you’ve made, I have got to get me a frother!
Pie making extravaganza?!?! I need to own a bakery, that just sounds like too much fun. And I recently got an IKEA frother too! Perfect for my tea and coffee!
Since you were talking about two animals in your last post, all I could think of was camel crickets when I read your title, “Bowl Full of Squirrel” (LOL)
Have agreat day, Kath!

i’ve gotta start adding froth to my nightly hot cocoa!
That nut butter looks really good. Perfect texture! Have fun at the bakery!
I would love more details on that Ikea frother!
Do you mean how to use it?
do you dirty 2 glasses every time you use it? 1 for making your tea and one to froth the milk in before adding it to the tea?
I put the milk in my mug, microwave for 26 seconds, froth with the frother and then pour the tea on top
The airlines are making a great effort to prevent my Thanksgiving celebrations. Wishing they offered a squirrely breakfast that looked remotely like yours.
I loved their pretzel filled peanut butter! That was when they were “Flying Squirrel” peanut butter though. I am going to have to order some more after seeing how delish this looks on your yogurt!
I’d save a lot of money on cappucinos if I had that cheap frother!
I just love yogurt in a bowl mixed with other things. It’s so filling and so good for you! The perfect combo!
How do you get such a foam/perfect froth!?
Totally.Kidding.
I was wondering what you were going to do about the bakery over Thanksgiving. That’s nice that you guys can take a few days off. You deserve it!
Honestly, I wasn’t quite sure WHAT to expect in this post based on the title! Glad to see no furry tails sticking out of your breakfast
