Kelsey saved the saved the day when she shared her fruit stash with me during Clinical
I had 3 grapefruits and about half a kiwi. It tasted so. good.
The afternoon wasn’t bad though. I wasn’t that hungry. But I am still thankful!
I had my You Bar at 5:00 right when class started (when I ate at EarthFare I didn’t get hungry at all until 6:30!) I received a random selection of You Bars as a sample a while ago. This “Great Date With Chocolate” was one of the smaller bars, but it did have protein powder in it. Here’s a link to their popular bars page with the nutrition facts and ingredients list.
My bar was a little smushed and it was very sticky against the package. At first I wasn’t that impressed, but it really grew on me. It was just like a chocolate fudge brownie!!! Very good. Similar to the Clif Nectar chocolate walnut bar, but much fudgier – which I liked. I wish I could say I’d order these, but that the price point listed, I don’t know…
Clinical got out a little early tonight!! Yay for being hungry. The wonderful husband makes dinner for me on Wednesday (as long as I plan something for him to cook and have the ingredients ready) and tonight was this delicious soup: Chickpea, Tomato, and Spelt Soup.
As far as I know, the only changes he made were leaving out the onion and celery and adding some kale (which was a great touch). He also did a combo of spelt, rye and wheat berries instead of just spelt. The soup was awesome – bursting with flavor and chew.
I had a buttered slice of Flax Oat Bran on the side
And not 2 minutes after taking this photo, I relocated to the couch
The husband was already up to bed and I was lonely.
Here’s me getting sleepy:
I’m looking forward to some sunshine tomorrow! Wheeeeee!!!

That soup looks great!
Seeing all the yummy bread you eat makes me want to bake bread or seek out yummy bread. I think most of your bread is either made by your husband or store bought?
I know I don’t comment often but I do read every post and love them!
Thank God for leaving out the onion!
How many free loaves a week DOES your husband get??? Just wondering =) I had a friend who used to work there and she got a free loaf per shift.
Gina ,
Welcome!
Ashley,
We have a household wide bread-buying freeze so all of our bread is Great Harvest.
Sarah,
You are correct
