You are here: Home / Weekend / Bottomless.

January 28, 2009

Bottomless.

Man, this lunch is not sitting well – if at all! Maybe I have a stomach leak? Sadly I am out of food and already ate my snacky apple!

I started with a Spinach Salad, drizzled in a little EVOO and topped with some leftover grilled veggies from yesterday.

IMG_1053 (800x600)

Then moved on to a PB&J on Great Harvest Cinnamon Raisin bread. I think this is my problem. PB&J never fills me up. I have to treat it as a side dish and not a main course.

IMG_1054 (800x600)

It sure tasted good though! (Hi Kelsey!)

IMG_1055 (800x600)

And I ended with a Peach Chobani. Wish I’d packed some mix-ins for this!

IMG_1056 (800x600)

Here are my snacks for Clinical tonight – but I just ate the apple!!! I waited 20 minutes but decided I was still hungry. I might trade the You Bar, which is kind of small, for a heaftier LaraBar.

IMG_1050 (800x600)

I think I need to chug some H2O…or eat my apple core

this !

I’ve got school work to do, then class, then class. Then the husband is making soup for my late, late dinner. Hope I can survive!

Mmmm, cinnamon raisin! I say it’s totally worth it, even if it didn’t fill you up 😉 Or pack 2 Chobanis? Yogurt always fills me up.

Looks like you might have needed a bit more protein to fill you up. Maybe some cheese, hard bolied egg or meat to go on your salad.

Oh no, the days when the packed lunch is never enough. I hate those. Now I make sure to bring extra snacks just in case. It’s tough though because if I know I have the food, often I just want to eat it regardless if my hunger really necessitates it. But I guess I’d rather have too much and just deal with that than not bring enough and risk suffering grumbly tummy all throughout classes!

Your spinach looks incredibly green in your salad today.

I always pack extra snacks if I bring my lunches because I never know if it’ll fill me up. It’s strange psycologically how if I know I have extra food on hand, I never actually get hungry enough to eat it; but If i didn’t pack any extra food, I am always hungry!

when my husband and I first started dating we took a roadtrip to California (12 hour drive) and I packed all kinds of healthy snacks for us including apples. I gave him one and looked back a few minutes later to see him kind of gnawing on the stem and I was like, “Where’s the core?” he goes, “Oh…I ate it.” as though that were perfectly natural! Isn’t that weird! But yeah, so he always eats the core and sometimes he even eats the stem! I married a goat!

I tried Chobani for the first time and I LOVED it! I got a blueberry and I loved the texture and how it was not too sweet. Thanks for introducing them to me, Kath!

    Love, Lis
