Like you, I eat a lot of fruit and veg.
Two days ago I developed a horridly painful, incredibly large blood blister on my tongue. No doubt from too much acidic stuff – tomatoes, strawberries?, balsamic vinegar, oranges, etc.

Have you (or others) ever developed one? I’m using salt water to clean it, but sheesh – I don’t want this to happen again…or keep me from eating those nummy foods.

Wow. Are you quite sure it’s just from what you’re eating? Almost everything I consume has vinegar in it somewhere (including the water) and I’ve never had that problem.

For different reasons (dental health) I rinse my mouth out well with water after I eat or drink anything acidic, and also drink some milk afterwards. If it works for the one it might work for the other, I guess?

No, I’m not sure. It could be another health complication? I hope not.
I chew an awful lot of gum, though; could that be it?
I will try to rinse my mouth carefully. Thanks for your ideas.

After reading through many of the comments… I just can’t choose which show was my favorite! Nick had some quality shows during the 90’s. The only Nick show that I can think of that I DIDN’T like is Ren and Stimpy… So unnecessarily gross!

Cheese and jam is the BEST! Everyone who’s ever seen me eat one gives me a look like I’m eating a sandwich of baby turtles, but the sharp/salty/creamy cheese and sweet/chunky berries just go together so perfectly!

I didn’t have a TV growing up, but my best friend did. I don’t remember how old I was, but one day we watched “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” and I remember being scared out of my wits because I actually WAS terrified of the dark, and the story was something about a kid doing something he shouldn’t and then being dragged off to hell (quite the modern-day morality play, really :P). I had nightmares for weeks and my mom had quite a talk with my friend’s mother.

I liked Salute your Shorts (one time they said my name in an episode (first and last) at least is sounded like it) and Brad from Hey Dude, was from my hometown, Grosse Pointe…That means I am famous by association! I remember it took me a long time to figure out why they called the counselor Ug….because his last name was Lee…put it together and you have Ug-Lee! Genius! I wasn’t allowed to watch “You can’t do that on television” because my parents thought they were disrespectful to adults…haha. My blog is about Saved by the Bell and Full House, but I should seriously consider talking about Nick shows too! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
