Wishful Thinking

IMG_9224Blog

My wish for the most perfect breezy fall day was granted upon waking! SO gorgeous out there – can’t wait to get outside!

FallmorningBlog

I also wish for Friday. And a new bag of Cville Cluster!

IMG_9227Blog

This morning I made an old favorite – a Pumpkin Dough Boy Smoothie!

IMG_9232Blog

See this recipe for the technique. For this one I added 1/2 cup pumpkin and some classic P-spices.

On top I poured on some puffed millet (found in the bulk bins), 1/2 a leftover graham cracker and a Hail Merry vanilla macaroon (they taste like sugar cookies!) and sunflower butter drizzle (that’s just the way it is..)

Vanilla tea, plain and simple!

I’m so glad you got your perfect fall day!! I know I get a little “off” when I have multiple cloudy/gloomy days in a row. Sunny days just give you that extra little burst of energy. Enjoy your day!

Hi Kath, I’ve been reading your blog for a few months now but have never actually commented :s ups. I’m form the Caribbean and here we tend to have savoury breakfast so that’s normally what I’m craving, though you make oatmeal seem so appealing. So quick question, since Matt has to get up sooooo early what does his breakfast typically consist of? Is it oatmeal or eggs?

I love old dish towels like that! I had some toasted millet at a restaurant and it was sprinkled on my salad. It added so much crunch and good flavor. I have been eating a lot of oatmeal lately in an attempt to lower my cholesterol. I made a baked oatmeal that was delicious. Have you tried any baked oatmeal recipes for breakfast?

Oh man, I want a pumpkin dough boy smoothie in my belly right now. That looks so totally delicious. I love how you always mix it up with all your different toppings. Stuff I would never think to put on top of smoothies, like graham crackers and puffed millet. Probably because I eat mine mostly through a straw and stuff like that tends to clog em up 🙂
Thanks for the pretty pictures. I hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather. Wish we could have some of that here. Oregon’s grey skies tend to get to you after awhile
