Baked Good Shuffle

IMG_8772 (600x450)

Been a great day here – nice weather (although it’s getting cloudy!), a nice workout and a very productive afternoon.

A run was on my agenda today, but instead I ended up walking 2 miles to the butcher and back, then dropping off my meat, running 2.5 miles, then showering and walking a mile to the bakery. Workout combined with errands and pleasure walking was great fun!

IMG_8758 (450x600)

Matt and I had a power lunch to discuss our plans for the afternoon. Before that, I got to meet a blog reader who brought me 2 bottles of beer!! Our employees joke that anyone who walks in with a camera or a bottle of beer turns out to be blog reader. ‘Tis true! [Thanks Kim!]

IMG_8763 (450x600)

I had Lemony Hummus on Cville Crunch with cheddar

IMG_8765 (600x450)

And he had the new Chicken Salad Sandwich with Spiced Pecans on Sourdough! [Sadly the chicken is not local…I tried really hard to find some but lucked out on that one..]

IMG_8764 (600x450)

IMG_8766 (600x450)

Post-lunch foods [refuse to call such delicious things dessert!] were Pumpkin Oh

IMG_8767 (600x450)

And a bit of cookie a while later. Quality control!

IMG_8768 (600x450)

We are mid-way through a lobby reorganization. Debuting some new items and making space for the holiday season

IMG_8769 (450x600)

!!
IMG_8770 (600x450)IMG_8771 (600x450)IMG_8774 (600x450)

Two OpenSky items that I have loved turned into bakery items – Dr. Pete’s Praline Glaze and Lesley Elizabeth dipping oils! Both are fabulous in flavor and equally versatile.

Fun dinner planned tonight!!

I want of those mugs, they’re so cute! And the pumpkin cake with I’m assuming iced cream cheese filling looks to die for!

Have you sold a lot of gifts cards for the holidays thus far?

What do you prefer, the Naturally Nutty brand, Barney Butter brand, or Sunbutter brand?

    Very cool mugs!

I had almost the exact same sandwich for lunch today. Sadly, though, my slices of bread were Trader Joe’s multigrain! Ever since I started reading your blog I have always wanted to go to a GH in my area. I found one about 15 miles away, and my boyfriend and I are going in about 2 weeks (he just doesn’t know it yet) The Pumpkin Oh makes me want to go NOW though.

Funny I too do quality control on anything yummy my kids have. I have never been able to find naturally nutty at any stores near me, give my Great Harvest the heads up and recommend they sell it. (Temecula) Also their granola looks good, but yours looks downright delicious. I never buy granola because I make it so often but I would buy yours.

maybe you can help me since you seem to be in the know about opensky. i haven’t ordered anything from them for awhile and i went to the site today and it’s changed completely! i can’t figure out how to search for an item, i have to just follow someone? but people seem to only have a few items for sale. it’s really confusing me. for example i wanted to look at more hail merry products but i can’t find them by anyone but you but they are in a bundle which i don’t want. if you have an advice let me know.

      Hey Bitt,

They have changed things around a bit, and some of the items that were once on sale are no longer available. You still have to follow someone to see/have access to their sales. Here’s the landing page where you can explore and follow people:

      https://opensky.com/sales

There are lots of celebrities who have joined in!

Here’s my page where you can see my sales, along with today’s Hail Merry:

      https://opensky.com/katheats

You’ll also get news via email when the sales start.

    Kath,

Had you “lucked out on that one,” you would have been successful in your attempt to find local chicken.

I think what you meant to say was you “were out of luck on that one.”

That oatmeal rainbow cookie looks SO yum…I read a comment that it’s with M&M’s (yum) but if you really want to spruce it up, try it with candy-coated sunflower seeds instead…although I’m not sure how cost-effective that would be!
