Vegetables, Animals, Miracles

There were lots of the above at the market today!

IMG_0626 (640x480)

RAW!

IMG_0627 (640x480)

This lion was out to get us

IMG_0628 (640x480)

He’s trying to paw the camera!

IMG_0630 (640x480)

Bad kitty kitty

IMG_0632 (640x480)

WOOF

IMG_0643 (480x640)

The wind in my face on a crisp morning was a miracle.

And the veggies were fun, as always

IMG_0636 (640x480) IMG_0637 (640x480)

My shirt got attention 😉

IMG_0639 (480x640)

I’ve started making an actual grocery list for the market and keeping a tally of what we spend. It helps a lot!

[By the way, we always spell spinach as "spinage" in this house because that’s how we pronounced it!]

IMG_0641 (640x480)

We were flexible and came home with no mushrooms and chicken instead of "sausage or beef."

Once we were home and relaxed a bit, we went back out for a bike ride. We took Andrew down to Karen’s new neighborhood – which involved plenty of hills!

IMG_0646 (480x640)

Then, around 12:30, we feasted

IMG_3106 (640x427) (2)

IMG_3111 (640x427)

I had a hodge podge salad of:

  • Spinach
  • Leftover pesto pasta
  • Tomato
  • Cantaloupe
  • Olive oil, sea salt
  • And honey

IMG_3109 (640x427) (2)

With a side of Tomato Herb from GH – honey was a great addition!

IMG_3108 (640x427)

IMG_3104 (640x427) (2)

We taught Andrew to eat kiwi skin.

IMG_3113 (640x427) (2)  IMG_3114 (640x427) (2)

He proclaimed it his newest favorite fruit

IMG_3115 (640x427)

I made a strategic list of the beers I really want to try so I don’t waste my …energy… on styles I don’t care for. There are 150 craft brews and I get 30 2-ounce tastes. That’s 5 beer’s worth – way too much for me! I’m going to sip instead of drink and I’m not afraid to pour out everything but the pumpkin beers! Lastly, I’m hoping to blog hard. Stopping to photograph and think about each beer will help me slow down and focus. I do not need another 2-day hangover!

IMG_3117 (640x427)

Top Of The Hops, here we come!
