The Friday Creep

IMG_9698Blog

Anyone else feel the Friday Creep? The pace of the world begins to slow a bit. Less emails arrive in my inbox. Brains start pondering weekend plans – like dinner out tonight! The weekend is creeping up behind us.

I went to Body Pump and then headed home on my bike for a quick lunch. I’m headed to the bakery right after I finish typing – word is our sign company is there installing the new interior signs!

Lunch:

IMG_9697Blog

I made a half batch of Lavender Crunch Hummus and served in on literally the last fresh food in this house! The end of a container of spinach, a lone orange we got from the Montalto race 2 weekends ago, Cinnamon Chip with a dazzle of honey! [Yes, dazzle, not drizzle!]

Despite being old, this orange was surprisingly juicy!

And in honor of Tina’s cookie Friday – I ate the last of my aunts mini oatmeal secret recipe cookies from the freezer!

Hard Core

The winner of the CORE bag was Caroline M! I emailed her just now, so if your name is also Caroline M., I apologize for not having a better way to announce the winners!

I was hoping I would win the core bag, oh shucks! Hope you will have an Open Sky promo on it soon.

Even my Body Pump instructor on Friday is not as energetic as the one on Monday. Maybe she is feeling the Friday creep too.

haha what a funny name! Yeahhh I noticed more and more the friday creep when I started blogging not too long ago. I guess it’s because everyone’s somehow connected and you can see it more visually perhaps? Have a beautiful day Kath!

So, when I first read the title I thought you meant “creep” as in a creepy guy or something. I thought–hmm, this should be a good story!!! Clearly, that was not where you were going with that, lol.

Yes, I’m definitely feeling the Weekend Creep and I can’t wait for it to get here! 2 1/2 more hours to go!! Wooot! That photo of the little red flower is so gorgeous. Have fun at the bakery!

“Anyone else feel the Friday Creep? The pace of the world begins to slow a bit”–YES I feel that, always!

    And yay for less emails.

And to prove i DO read, I think you mean to say ate, not hate, here:
“And in honor of Tina’s cookie Friday – I hate the last of my aunts mini oatmeal secret recipe cookies from the freezer!”

Because those look like pure love, no hatin’ there 🙂

    Enjoy your weekend, Kath!

I wish I felt a Friday creep! No one at my job seems to respect Friday afternoons as a time for forward-thinking and relaxation (nor do they particularly respect weekends, for that matter, so maybe that explains it).

Man – your posts remind me often of where I’m working towards being. A few years ago I was a regular at BodyStep, Pump, and Jam but I didn’t eat well. Now I eat really well but don’t have much time for gym classes or workouts that aren’t with a running group or ultimate frisbee. I’d love to get to a point where I can cook my meals, attend fun gym classes and still have time for me! Your lunch looks divine, btw. I love that your salads tend to be so simple and easy!!
