The Dust Settles

My goodness our house gets so dusty! We were gone for four days and you’d think some kind of dust blower lived here while we were gone.

Opening all those boxes last night probably didn’t help! For someone who gets a lot of packages, I sure dislike cardboard and my particularly…Styrofoam. Some recyclable paper will do just fine please.

Package contents pending, but one of them was a sample of Rosie’s Best Granolas from Etsy!

IMG_4701Blog

Made by Alicia of Culinary Bliss, this was not just any old homemade granola. She mastered the dry clump method! And there were so many bits and pieces, plus the flavor was great. I liked it a lot!

IMG_4706Blog

The little jingle bell encouraged me to choose the Coconut Peanut Butter for today’s breakfast 😉

VOTE FOR WOMEN!!

IMG_4724Blog

Loved using my new mug and tea towel!

IMG_4725Blog

And these pumpkin cottage cheese granola almond butter oats couldn’t have been more perfect!

IMG_4708Blog

Still loving my homemade Pumpkin Spice Almond Butter. This is now a household staple! But I did buy a pound of roasted peanuts to make peanut butter next!

I’ve got a lot of catching up to do – and two new writing projects fell into my lap. Have a great day!

I totally agree with the dust in the house after being gone for a few days! I don’t know where it comes from but it is so annoying!

I know what you mean about dust…I have no idea where it all comes from! As for the peanuts, I just received a 10 lb bag from my grandmother for Christmas! Let’s flavored peanut butter creations begin!

Contact the companies you order from and request no (or as minimal as they can) plastic, styrofoam, etc. Most will respond to this. If the online order has room for comments, mention it there. If not, call or email the company immediately before or after placing the order to request more earth-friendly packaging.

If companies don’t respond to your requests, take your money elsewhere!
