Sum Sum Summatime

"And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer."
— F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby

I don’t know why, but today feels like the first day of summer vacation. Maybe because we just flew from spring to summer this week. There’s something in the air!

IMG_1800Blog

So appropriately, I had my favorite winter breakfast ;0)

IMG_1798Blog-2

Hot cottage cheese scottish oats with banana, chia, sunflower butter and granola!

IMG_1802Blog-2

So amazing. All thanks to the sunflower butter!!

IMG_1799Blog-2

And a cup of coffee!! Well, coffee + choffy mixed together. I liked this blend more than the choffy alone. The coffee softens the bitterness but the choffy’s chocolate taste still shines through.

IMG_1806Blog-2IMG_1805Blog-2IMG_1797Blog-2

Wednesdays are my wildcard workout days. I’m in between runs and Body Pump on M and F. I’m thinking today is going to be a combo of biking to work, walking and mayyybe some yoga – if I can slip away this afternoon!

Have a summery day!

Tasty-lookong oats! I had to go with the warm oats yesterday. Somedays you just have a craving!

It’s chilly here in Nebraska so it feels more like spring than summer. I had hot oats this morning that warmed me up. The kids and I are headed to Great Harvest for some berry bread today along with some honey whole wheat and whatever else they talk me into LOL. That will certainly be the highlight of our “summery” day.
