Something Old, Something New

IMG_2164-2

I got in my walk – and it wasn’t even that hot!! A good 3 miles with Better Homes & Gardens. Gosh I love that magazine so much! I’m getting totally obsessive about house stuff. No, we cannot put in new countertops and cabinets right now!! But my gears are still crankin’. Even with little décor. I’m tempted to pay a visit to World Market and TJ Maxx. Wish we had a Homegoods here!

Workout part II was helping Karen look for her keys. She was packing up the last of her things to take to the new place and couldn’t find them ANYWHERE. After 30 minutes of digging, we found them in a trash bag. Go figure! Keys are a scary thing to lose.

After a shower and some work, I had lunch around 1pm.

Something new – a insta-potato salad!

IMG_2158-2

I took Sunday’s Rustic Potatoes and mashed them together with about 3 tbsp greek yogurt, 1 tsp mayo and 1 tsp dijon mustard and a pinch more salt. It was an absolutely delicious potato salad! Served over a bed of spinach.

I realized I haven’t had a banana in a few days thanks to peach season. I usually eat banana every.single.day so this is unheard of! Fit one in at lunch in the form of mashed banana with just a little peanut butter for another layer of flavor between an end piece of Dakota.

The usual:

Happy afternoon to you all!

I love bananas + PB on GH bread. Unreal. And true life, I rely on leftovers for EVERYTHING. Hope all is well in C-Ville!

I instituted mandatory key checks (making sure I had my keys in hand) before entering/exiting any building or vehicle during our move. It’s so easy for things to get misplaced in the craziness.

Yum! I thought of you and your watered-down lemonade when I was at Aldi’s this week and picked up a bottle of their Raspberry Lemonade (cheap and all-natural ingredient list) and started drinking 1/4 lemonade to 3/4 ice water. YUM. Even my husband liked it.

I’ve been reading for a while and I just have to ask, how does walking with a magazine work exactly? Do you walk and read at the same time? Do you stop to sit down during the walk and bring the magazine along for this purpose? I’ve just been curious for a while now…. Thanks!

One time we lost my husbands car keys right after we finished packing up all of the Christmas presents and luggage to head home on vacation. An hour later and an unloaded car we found them under the folded down seats. Not fun but happy we found them.
