You are here: Home / Weekend / Smoked.

March 9, 2011

Smoked.

I had hoped to go running today, but our weather is icky. Instead, I went back to Body Step! I really like that class. I look like a FOOL but it’s fun. The intensity rivals the elliptical. Although we do tons of jumping around, I’ve never been all that challenged in group ex classes. There’s just too much downtime and recovery to keep my heart rate pounding. So I used extra high risers and gave it my all and feel that I got a pretty good workout.

Also, KERF reader John recognized me and said hello on my way into class. That was fun! Hi John!

Home 2 lunch!

IMG_3550Blog

Matt picked up some whole wheat bagels from Bodos yesterday during his lunch meeting. I picked up the wild Alaskan smoked salmon and goat cheese = the makings for an awesome lunch!

One of my favorite combos = goat cheese, capers and smoked salmon – with arugula!

BagelBlog

On the side – more of the same, plus some TJ’s Basil + Bean hummus!

Going here tonight to celebrate with RDs:

IMG_3560Blog

!!

We have a meeting this afternoon to record a podcast with Mikey B. Not sure I’ve ever been on the radio before – even if it’s a recording.

Then a few errands.

Then to dinner – at Blue Mountain!

Busy times, and I have to go get dressed!

And being recognized by a reader…that has happened to me a few times. Once even in an international airport!! But only by women, never by a man. I think I only have like 2 male readers 🙂

“Look like a fool,” pretty much sums up how I feel when I’m in a Zumba class, but it’s so fun, and it keeps me moving and my heart rate up for the entire hour.

Whole wheat bagels are my favorite — the ones with all white flour just don’t have enough substance for me. This makes me want to visit Bread Co. (AKA Panera) for one.
