Screened In

I’m having a lovely day working on the porch!! I have a feeling I’ll be spending many, many hours out here until summer is in full swing. But we do have a ceiling fan to make the heat move!

IMG_7484

I went to a great cycle class this morning. Only bad part was that it was inside! It feels a little weird to bend over my uterus to pump my legs, but overall, it’s a great way for me to get out of breath without going for a hard run.

When I returned, I quickly showered, greeted a plumber to fix our leaky bathtub faucet, and made a smoothie to tide me a few hours to lunch.

IMG_7466

Inside: 4 stalks of kale, 1 scant cup of milk, 5 pieces frozen banana, 1/2 packet of Vega Vanilla Almond protein blend. I forgot how good Vega tastes in a smoothie! This was a vanilla dream.

IMG_7465

Tub is now fixed and I’ve been outside writing for a few hours waiting for a different plumber to come and install our gas range (which costs a mandatory $300 beyond the price of the stove for the natural gas install – booooo!)

IMG_7487

Lunch was a tall tale sandwich. Mustard, mayo, pickle, cheese and lemon hummus. If you’re wondering, yes, this was incredibly hard to eat!

IMG_7491

Almonds..

IMG_7490

Grapes + cheese!

IMG_7489

IMG_7485

Watch out…lion on the prowl. Good thing I’m screened in!

I wish I had a gas range! I grew up cooking with gas, but the last house I bought only has electric. 🙁 Did you some gas appliances in your house already, so the $300 cover just to have a range hook up or is it because you didn’t have any gas in your house?

Oh, to have a screened in porch! I always seem to attract the mosquitoes when I sit outside so that would be a fabulous solution. But right now, all I really want is for my office to have a window facing outside, rather than other offices!!

I love your porch, so pretty! I want it.

Green smoothies are the best, my kiddies love them, my daughter goes and picks the kale from our garden and the fresh aloe Vera to put in ours. I always add frozen banana to it because that pretty much stops the smoothie from tasting too much like kale. I know my kids are a bit weird because they love that the smoothie is green, they call it monster juice.

I swear by green smoothies, my kids where getting sick at least every 2-3 months for years, it was crazy but then a friend of mine told me to get them on a green smoothie a day and to make sure the green part of it was always fresh greens. My kids have not been sick for 1 and half years! Not a single sniffle or cold in our house. Such a relief.

What do you mean bend over your uterus? You’re 14 weeks, your uterus isn’t even close to your belly button. There is no way your uterus is inhibiting biking.
