Saving Room

Matt and I did a whole lotta nothing this morning. We had plans for a walk, but that just never happened. Instead we made plans to go on a few outings this afternoon, including getting Matt a new phone. He’s eligible for an upgrade and is using my iPhone 3G from years ago. Time for him to become a Droid!

We just finished a light lunch, partly because we weren’t entirely hungry yet but are ready to leave the house, and partly because I’m saving room for a snack – either a yogurty snack or a popcorny snack!

Leftover tomato salad (so good with garlic gold as a seasoning!!)

Well I’m still in the stone age using my Razr (which magically entails no cell phone bill). Don’t think the 3G is ancient!

I just watched HP7 (Part II) last week, not in 3D though. It did not disappoint 🙂

I <3 popcorn! Go with that for the snack and enjoy the movie! I haven't seen it yet but I demolished the book in two days. I didn't sleep at all and it was worth it 😀

You really can’t go wrong with either one of those snacks!

P.S. Last night, I went to an amazing restaurant, which used all fresh/organic/local/sustainable foods. I kept trying to figure out what it was about the meal that I enjoyed so much. It finally dawned on me late last night–it was all REAL food.

Yes, there was butter, cream, and cheese. No “light” margarine or “fat free” salad dressing. Perhaps, it wasn’t considered “healthy” by everyone’s standards, but it was 100% clear that the food was all simple ingredients with an elegant twist. It totally reminded me of you and your blog 🙂

Just curious – What do you like about the Droid instead of the iPhone? I had a droid for a year but I hated it…I love my new iPhone 4 way better!! I found the droid very confusing, but so many people I know love the droid! I just don’t get it..I’d be interested to see what you like about it! 🙂

That salad looks tremendous! What is garlic gold? Question: do you only drink water/beer/wine? I never see any dairy and am wondering if that is why your skin GLOWS flawlessly? I’m trying to up my water consumption! Lazy mornings are the best. Today, I rolled over and went back to bed. Nothing like sleeping in on a Sunday to the sound of light summer raindrops. Enjoy the phone shopping (I still have an old iphone 3G – almost three years and still works!)

I don’t really drink milk often – I prefer it in cereal or oatmeal. I eat a fair amount of dairy though! Lots of yogurt and cheese. I only buy organic yogurt + milk (hormone free). I think my skin likes Bare Minerals make up!!

That salad looks great. There is one thing that would go great with it that I don’t remember you mentioning in your posts. That is grilled GH breads. My friends all think I am a grilling genius because I thick slice some Cheddar Garlic or Honey Whole Wheat, brush it with a little olive oil and then put it on a hot gas grill for a couple minutes on each side until it is nice and toasty. I serve it as a side dish with summer salads and chicken and burgers, almost anything off the grill, and everyone just oohs and aahs. You have to try it and then pimp it at the store. It is a great way to serve your breads!

Did you use any vinegar on that tomato salad?? Only asking because Garlic Gold is just oil based right? I love garlicy vinegar dressings with tomatoes 🙂
