You are here: Home / Weekend / Rainy Rainbow

August 31, 2009

Rainy Rainbow

Blah to the rainy day, but 1) at least it’s not super hot (I’m wearing JEANS!) and 2) We’ve got a stellar forecast for the rest of the week!

Matt and I went to the gym mid-morning via AUTOMOBILE

this !
. I can’t remember the last time I drove to the gym. It was strange! Biking there is such a part of my workout experience now. I did 35 minutes on the elliptical and lifted weights until my arms and legs were tired – about 15 minutes.

Shower –> Glam –> Lunch

IMG_1607 (640x480)

I made a sandwich of Applegate Farms Turkey and Laughing Cow with Lettuce + Tomato

IMG_1612 (480x640)

IMG_1611 (480x640)

And enjoyed a big scoop of Gena’s Pizza Cheese with a rainbow of veggies

IMG_1609 (640x480)

This stuff goes down like water and I know in the back of my mind it’s essentially a nut butter, so I tried to serve myself what looked like an appropriate amount to get a dab on each of my veggies and put the rest away for another meal.

Off to double classes! I’m wearing bright colors to combat the dreary day. And I’ve got strawberries for a snack!

I love your Gather article and the tip to match hunger levels with portion size when eating out. I’ve always heard we should attempt to divide our meal in half when our food arrives at a restaurant. That way we can save the leftovers for the next day..but this just never seems to work for me lol. Your tip is more realistic and will help us avoid over eating– and not have to worry about diving into the doggy bag in the fridge late at night . 🙂 Lovely lunch! That seed covered bread looks so great!

Great Gather article…. next time in NOLA head uptown for a run. When I went to college there I LOVED running along the streetcar line or around Audubon Park.

They do make a Spelt bread, but it is made in the same equipment as the regular wheat breads.
