Tale As Old As Time

Super party girls’ night!!

this !

IMG_1678 (480x640)

Quickly, because they are boring – afternoon strawberry snacks. The real deal + a Fruition bar, which I loved due to the multiple textures incorporated into the bar mush

IMG_1613 (640x480)

Ashley had a super fun girls’ night party to celebrate one of her final nights in Charlotte before she moves to Colorado 🙁

IMG_1658 (480x640)

She had a bunch of girls (and dogs + babies!) over for a Salad Bar + Painting!

Kelsey invited me up to the balcony – huh huh huh!

IMG_1621 (640x480)

IMG_1622 (480x640)

Ashley had a fun painting station set up for us to make little canvases of art

IMG_1618 (640x480) IMG_1617 (640x480) IMG_1634 (640x480) IMG_1633 (640x480) IMG_1636 (480x640)

I always mess up my art by overdoing it when I should just put the brush down, but I was happy with the message 🙂

IMG_1637 (640x480)

Art inspiration –

IMG_1625 (640x480) IMG_1630 (640x480)

The creative juices weren’t flowing, but the wine was!! LURVED these stemless glasses. I need some. Matt, my birthday is 10.26!!

IMG_1638 (640x480)

Appetizers – I nibbled on chips.

IMG_1631 (640x480) IMG_1632 (640x480)

The Make-Your-Own-Salad Buffet was absolutely amazing!!!! I told Ashley she rivaled EarthFare 😉

IMG_1646 (480x640)

Greens

IMG_1648 (640x480)

Veg // Nuts

IMG_1650 (480x640)

Cheese!!

IMG_1649 (640x480)

Proteins. Gosh I forgot how much I love grilled chicken. I feel like chicken is just so blah, but whenever I have it grilled it tastes so amazing. Note to self!

IMG_1640 (640x480) IMG_1641 (640x480) IMG_1651 (640x480)

Those would be WHEATBERRIES!

IMG_1644 (480x640)

IMG_1639 (480x640)

We were each asked to bring a homemade dressing to the party. I made honey mustard – equal parts honey, lemon, mustard and olive oil with salt + pepper + garlic.

IMG_1652 (480x640)

IMG_1616 (640x480)

My salad was fabuloso. A little of everything.

IMG_1655 (640x480)

IMG_1654 (640x480)

IMG_1653 (640x480)

Kelsey‘s!!

IMG_1657 (640x480)

Ashley‘s!!

IMG_1660 (640x480)

Mas vino. I had 3-4 tiny glasses to equal about 1 to 1 and 1/3 real glasses. I like drinking this way – I feel like I get a lot of tastes but I don’t drink too much or too fast.

IMG_1661 (640x480)

PENNY came out to play!!

IMG_1665 (480x640) IMG_1666 (480x640) IMG_1668 (480x640) IMG_1679 (480x640) IMG_1676 (480x640) IMG_1675 (480x640) IMG_1681 (480x640)

And so did dessert!

IMG_1685 (640x480)

These dark chocolates from Trader Joe’s were soooo good. Very dark, very good. I had about 3!

IMG_1686 (640x480)

But the grilled ice cream sundaes were the real hit. Pineapples + balsamic peaches!

IMG_1683 (480x640)

IMG_1687 (640x480)

More ice cream was consumed. It was just so vanilley and good.

I had lots of fun being a mom to Penny and the babies! Little Bryce was only 6 weeks old!

IMG_1690 (480x640)

And Liam was 9 weeks! Such cuties. My hands still smell like wonderful baby smell!

IMG_1691 (480x640)

Party favors! ota.bars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMG_1619 (640x480)

My loot – with 2 new flavors!

IMG_1693 (480x640)

THANK YOU Ashley for such a fun party!!!!!! I’m going to miss you so much when you leave and we’ve only gotten to play twice 😥 xoxo

Off to the cupboard with you now, Chip. It's
past your bedtime. Goodnight, love.

[Name that movie!!!]

Nite!

The photos with Penny are adorable..I like how you laid them out..kind of like photo booth style! I also forgot how good grilled chicken is…probably only eaten it 5 times in the past year. I think the key is to cut the breasts in half + olive oil + seasonings + grill = delicious! Also love the painting photos!!! So excited to have new paintings!! =) Thank you soo much for coming..and I am sad to have just met you and already have to leave you =( Ooookay, off to bed for this kid! I’m going to send this post to all the girls that were there tonight. Have a great rest of your week!

Super party! Love the socks. The dog looks like he/she was enjoying the fun as well.
