Racing

I’ve done no running today, but I’ve been racing around all morning!

Simultaneously working on cleaning, laundry, packing up a dinner, blog stuff, bakery stuff. I can feel the adrenaline going!

At 11:30 I drove to Faith’s new studio for a little yoga. Somebody need to slooooow down and her shoulders were filled with tension.

IMG_4180Blog

Faith’s business is just getting going. You locals need to show up for her hours so she has some clients to lead!

IMG_4179Blog

I rolled around on my Yoga Tune Up ball while we waited to see if anyone would come to the 12pm Guerrilla Yoga class (a donation-based practice around Cville).

IMG_4181Blog

When no one did, we switched gears and did a video instead. Faith had a Baron Baptiste DVD so we chose that. I love Baptiste-style yoga, so I enjoyed it. But Baron was a bit on the cheeseball side in the DVD! I got a nice nice stretch, and my shoulders and chest feel much more open. Someone remind me to do a little yoga every day!!

Lunchtime at 1PM!

IMG_4191Blog

I had a salad with all the veggies left in the fridge – spinach, cuc, carrot & celery plus lemon juice, olive oil, honey, White Bean + Basil hummus and goat cheese

IMG_4185Blog

Plus an orange

IMG_4189Blog

And a melty cheese + jam English muffin. I froze the Bread Basket ones and they thaw out really well! SO convenient to have them handy! That would be pepperjack cheese! It worked!

Still packing up for the trip – I’m trying to be an organized traveler!! Car trips are so much easier than flights though. Until you get bored in the car. But much easier to pack.

BYE!

I absolutely love your salad bowl!

At first I thought those were a bunch of green foam rollers in the corner, but I see how there are yoga mats. I was thinking “a foam rolling class? that is awesome!” 🙂

I love that you went to yoga to de-stress and decompress a little!

And Baron being a little cheezeballish on his DVD…I have found that many DVDs are that way. I would NEVER say some of the things to my yoga students that they say on the DVDs..then again, I try to always keep it real. Finding the balance between blissed out yogi but also living in the real world with real world humor 🙂

Have fun on your trip…and good luck finishing packing!

Baptiste Style is a Power Vinyasa style yoga. The practice combines both strengthening and lengthening to each muscle in the body. The poses are connected with breath (inhale/exhale) with flow-like (vinyasa) transitions to keep the heart rate up. I am in the process of getting teacher certified in Baptiste Power Yoga:)

I need to get packing for a trip myself. I agonize over my outfits and what shoes to wear so much that I need a few days to pack. I need to be cleaning out my fridge too of all the food that won’t keep while we are gone. I long to be somewhere warm and sunny. It’s cold and dreary here. Have a safe trip!
