Oot + Aboot

Or is it “oat and aboat”?

Or in the South: “Ow-ut and uh-bow-ut”

I’ve been running around all day! Mostly car hopping and baking stopping.

Honey Bunnies hatched with spring!

IMG_7739Blog

And somebody is craving big salads with the warmer weather 😉

IMG_7738Blog

I snacked on trail mix in my car this morning

IMG_7737Blog

And then ended up at Great Harvest for lunch!

IMG_7744Blog

Delicious + huge melted swiss + [steamed] turkey sandwich. With veggies! Including a pickal snuck inside!

IMG_7743Blog

IMG_7745Blog

Plus an Honest Tea

IMG_7741Blog

And a bite of turtle cookie to end! Caramelllll

IMG_7746Blog

The doctor’s appt went well – heard the cute little heart beat and the baby bumping against itself in there!! Doctor said we’re both doing great. Next ultrasound: 6 weeks away at 22.5 weeks! Soooo long to wait!

Once I was home, I rushed to change clothes and met Faith for a walk. We’re both pretty busy these days and we long for the days when we played all the time and had dinner many nights a week before our businesses were open and lives filled up. She’s now teaching like 10 dances and exercise classes a week.

We walked for 45 minutes and I just got home. What’s funny is I see my reflection in windows all over downtown and I look so pregnant! I don’t know if glass makes you wider or if I’m just relaxing my stomach out more? I feel like I walk with my belly leading the way these days!

2012-03-20 16.13.31Blog

I also had to carry water with me – so thirsty now that it’s hot! I might need a marathon belt to wear on my walks from now on..

2012-03-20 16.14.00 (1)Blog

I’m doing a few things here and then headed to my first pre-natal yoga class!!

My best friend gave me a camelbak as a baby gift! We were talking about the elevation where I live (6200 feet) and how much more water one has to drink at this elevation, in addition to being pregnant. I was telling her how annoying it is to carry my waterbottle, plus phone, keys, and the dog leash. It’s perfect really! Hands free and extra hydration! Plus, once the baby comes it will be great for sure with the stroller!

I love my prenatal yoga class! I’ve been trying to go twice a week for max benefits. What’s nice about our format is that at the beginning of class we take the time to go around the room and everyone introduces themselves, how far along they are, boy or girl or ???, and how they are feeling, or just whatever they feel like commenting about. Our instructor is also certified in hypnobirthing so we get lots of advice on med free deliveries. Its almost like a mini support group at the same time as its a wonderful workout. Enjoy!

So true! Thinking and writing about the Haters actually made me more down and jaded 🙁 I mean, of course it’s always good to listen to others and not look at life like it’s all rainbows and sunshine (that can be naive and selfish)…but negative energy is awful. The Downer’s problems are their problems – not yours (or mine or others). They just look to place their own problems and insecurities on others.

I got confused about that too. I used to think that Choffy and Grawnola were your funny ways of spelling coffee and granola. It was quite awhile until I realized that they were brand names and that was the actual way to spell them. I just googled “pikal” to see if that was the same deal…I guess that one’s just for fun!

So cute to see your progress with the baby on the way especially with your food choices. I have noticed you breakfasts have pretty much doubled in size(maybe it is how the food is laid out int h shot though), but interesting that the rest is about the same portion with exception to the extra snacking. I just keep thinking about Kelly Ripa and how she said she would eat bags of lemons and limes including the peel when she was pregnant so it is so fun to see what interesting changes that will occur as you progress.

The bread bunny is so cute. We just came back from CA and took a tour of Boudin’s in San Fran. They make turtle and fish bread as well as a bear. They made a “chandelier” from the bread animals but had to take the bear off since the kids who came through got so up set to see the bear hanging. Funny. 🙂

That is great you are getting so many ultrasounds. I had different insurance with my 1st and 3rd ultrasounds but each only paid for one. With my 3rd pregnancy I was high risk (since I was over 35 plus was IVF baby and some other issues going on) so I had many ultrasounds. It’s always fun to see a healthy baby moving around in there!

You know what’s even more fun that prenatal yoga? Baby & Me yoga. It was truly one of the most enjoyable things I did when my first child was a baby. He loved rolling around on the mat, then crawling around the room with the other little babies. I found the early months of parenthood very isolating, so it was GREAT to get out and meet other new moms and to know that if the baby cried, I could just pick him up and nurse him right then and there … everyone else was in the same boat.
