Once You Start You Can’t Stop

Foodblog-3125

I had two calls this morning (one short, one long) and found myself cleaning baseboards and the panels of our stairs in between. Because the baby is going to spend so much time on the stairs, ya know : ) You would not believe how dirty our banister was! I also spackled a few holes (including a major one Matt put in the wall when he slipped while carrying the pressure cooker down the stairs!) and wiped dirt off of walls. How do walls get so dirty!? This was totally one of those “once you start…” sessions where I just kept finding more and more dirt….

I lost my window of time for a gym lifting session due to call #2, so instead I did the easiest workout in the world: a 30 minute walk.

Baby was happy!

Foodblog-3121

For lunch we had a No Bull Burger topped with tomato, cheese and condiments.

If you’re wondering how I managed to eat this the answer is with 3 napkins – one for my chest, one for my bump and one for my hands!

Foodblog-3118

Some leftover potatoes and cantaloupe on the side!

Foodblog-3110

Have a great afternoon!

I had a beef burger today, which I haven’t had in a long time, and I really prefer vegetarian or turkey burgers these days! They have so much more flavor (in my opinion).

You are definitely in a deep nesting mode. 🙂 Last week I started cleaning the baseboards in our bathroom (after I already cleaned the tub, toilet, sinks, and mirrors). One thing led to another and before I knew it, I was half way into our bedroom. Let it be known I am not pregnant, but I understand the ‘once you start, you can’t stop’.

I suppose my ‘nesting’ is gearing up for my DI when I know there will be minimal time to deep clean!

Wow, you are one very handy (wo)man with the spackling! The walls in my basement entry way are pretty filthy.. I think it’s from bashing into them with grocery bags while trying to haul them up the stairs! Cleaning walls is definitely not one of my favourite things to do, but I guess you can look at it as a workout (your second of the day!)

I have a silly question…..I haven’t figured out how to just defrost 1 of the no bull burgers because of the way they are packaged…I love them and would eat them more if I didn’t have to defrost them all at once without defrosting all 4 of them?

I cut the pack in half and defrost 2 at a time

Yum lunch, Kath! And I also just read your post from last night … I’m not a huge meat eater – give me a no-bull burger 9 times out of 10 … but that real beef burger you had is making me salivate!! MMM!

And yes, it’s crazy that, once you’ve cleaned the baseboards, you realize how dirty they were – and you hadn’t really noticed before!! The whole house looks so CLEAN after you’ve wiped them down!

We don’t have No Bull burgers in town but they look delicious! Way to rock the house cleaning – once the baby arrives the last thing you’ll want to do is wash baseboards. Better to get as much done now as you can. And yes, the more you start to clean the more dirt you find. Sometimes I think it’s better to not even start. 🙂

Lunch looks delicious! I haven’t had very much cantaloupe this summer and it’s one of my favorite fruits. Putting it on my grocery list now!

The majority of our walls are the eggshell paint color that they were when we purchased the house brand new many years ago. So, you cannot really see much dirt unless people put dirty hands on the wall, cob webs are there, or dirt is there over time. The walls need cleaned, but being pregnant, it is too overwhelming to conquer!
