In a bit of a rush this morning because I’m due at work 15 minutes early!!! Tick Tock….
Getting up for the gym was surprisingly easy today. Go figure. Probably because it’s only 46* outside!! It felt almost balmy when I got out there. But what do you know, the rainy came pouring in when I got back home – just in time!!
I had a great workout today!! 45 minutes on the elliptical with Better Homes + Gardens (my favorite!!) followed by 15 minutes of weight lifting. I used the 17.5 pounders again and did 2 sets of 15 on biceps, shoulders, triceps, and delts and then did some plie squats, pushups and abs. I was in a weight mood today!
Once home, my wonderful personal chef made breakfast while I showered! Love Mondays when he is home for breakfast 🙂
Today’s AWESOME mix included (for ONE person)
- 1/4 cup Bob’s Red Mill Apple Cinnamon Hot Cereal (which makes the house smell amazing!)
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup soy milk
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
- Half banana
- Pinch salt
- Toppings: coconut butter, butterscotch chips, the second-to-last serving of Mix My Granola Banana – Chia – Almond and a spoonful of Cinnamon Vanilla Sunflower Butter!
I did the coffee pouring today. The trick is to pour slowly at an angle so the bloom comes out too. Not sure if Matt understood that…
Looks like a horrid scary eyeball!
I can tell I have sickness looming in my upper half 🙁 I feel fine, but it’s there. I believe in whole foods, which is why I packed an orange in my lunch, but I also happen to have these Chews 4 Health that KERF reader Holly gave me when we met back in December. She works for the company and gave me a box to sample, and I tucked them away and they fell off my radar. I hunted them down today thinking that they couldn’t hurt when I might be getting sick.
They taste like sweet tarts!
Components include Superfruit powder [Gogi, Noni, Mangosteen, Acai, POM, Blueberry, Cranberry, Raspberry], Sea Vegetable Powder [Nori, Dulse, Kelp, Bladderwrack], Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, ALA, and Resveratrol. Sweetened with fructose from xylitol.
Watch This Contest –>
I have always loved watches – probably because they are both practical and fun jewelry! So when Mary K emailed me about her handmade watches, I thought you guys would like to get in on the ticks and tocks.
Mary designs interchangeable watch bands that are elastic and custom-fit to your wrist size. You can mix and match faces to bands to your outfit 🙂 Mary’s blog is a showcase of some of her designs – so hard to choose a favorite! And these are a STEAL at $10 each on her Etsy shop. Perfect gift.
Mary sent me these beautiful green and black bands to swap out. Green is my favorite color and classic black goes with everything!
Sooooooo, ONE LUCK DUCK will win a custom watch and band of your choice. Leave a comment below to enter by 8PM EST and I’ll choose a random winner tonight.
I’m late!! I’m late!!
