Olive / Ilove Lunch

Hiya!

The best way to upgrade lunches, in my opinion, is the spruce up the ingredient list. Just putting one fancy ingredient in the mix makes me excited the night before. Today, it was olives. I heart them!

Starting with a sardine salad. 1 can sardines with carrot, green pepper, dill, black pepper, olive oil and mustard.

IMG_4023 (640x427)

I plan to scoop it up with my fun curvy spoon (that comes with the Sagaform snackbowl)

IMG_4022 (640x427)

And plop it only some OLIVE Food Should Taste Good‘s!! This flavor has a really subtle green olive aftertaste that I just love.

IMG_4020 (640x427)

On the side, a simple salad of romaine (already chopped and washed the night before) topped with avocado and jarred kalamata olives! And a drizzle of balsamic.

IMG_4024 (640x427)

Lastly, a big ole cantaloupe (might save some of this for snacktime)

IMG_4027 (640x427)

Olives – love ’em or hate ’em?

This time 3 years ago we were almost on our way to our wedding rehearsal!

Walking to Rehearsal

Good lookin' Davidsonians (640x480)

Bride Groom (640x480)

Rehearsal (640x480)

And ended with Blues, Brews + BBQ

Andy Jams with Bluesology (640x480)

Happy Almost Wedding!

I looove olives. I like green olives more than kalamata because kalamata are a little too salty for me. That lunch looks great – I am still toying with the idea of eating the sardines that are in my fridge!

I love, love, love olives! We currently have kalamata, garlic-stuffed, and manzanilla olives at home as well as pickled artichokes and red peppers. I find some pickled, briny goodness adds a lot to my salads!

I can’t get into sardines, though! They look like little headless fish! My fiance had me try smoked oysters from a tin and those were glorious. You should try them!
