Cookies + Pizza Pie

This day is just getting busier and busier!! Ahhhhhhhh!

I saved my cantaloupe for a snack because there was COOKIE CAKE in our office! Celebrating two birthdays! Yummmmmmms-

Photo

So after work I downed my cantaloupe before EMILY met me for a post-work run!! We set out for 5 miles in the summer heat and ended up running 2.5 and walking the rest! First off, Emily is not a Southerner like I am and felt a bit overheated 🙂 But also, we had so much to discuss that we couldn’t talk and run well enough so we switched to walking. Feel more caught up on life now! We covered 5.5 miles – ’twas great 🙂

I literally walked in the door to "dinner is served" ringing in my ears from Matt!! And MY what a dinner it was!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMG_4053 (640x427)

If you have a Great Harvest nearby, you MUST go ask them to buy some crust. I cannot get over their doughs as crusts. This was Flax Oat Bran and Mediterranean Olive from two little mini pizzas. Topped with BACON and BLUE CHEESE and ARUGULA and PORTABELLOS and PARMESAN!!!!!!

IMG_4060 (640x427)

Oh my word it was sooo good! I loved how he did no tomato sauce and just fresh toppings – the dough really showed through (it was my suggestion too ;0) )

IMG_4061 (640x427)

IMG_4058 (640x427)

Arugula, zucchini parmesan cheese, black pepper and a driz of olive oil

IMG_4056 (640x427)

I dove in sweaty and all (I normally like to shower before dinner)

Gotta go send a bunch of emails.

We got our counter offer today – it was OK – we countered again!! Still on pins and needles…

Nite!!

We are stocked but not for long. 🙂 I hope for your anniversary the for sale sign gets a sold sign! As a former realtor, don’t let your counter offer get away! All deals must be closed by June 30th to qualify for the govt rebate so I know your buyers are anxious too. Can’t wait to hear the updates tomorrow.

Kath, I read your blog almost everyday (and when I dont have a chance to read one day, I will go back and catch up later) and just LOVE it, but this is the first time I’ve left a comment. I love to cook, and cook healthy, but you really inspire me to make the time to plan and make meals ahead (rather than running out of time).
Anyway, the reason I commented today was to let you know, in case you dont already, that there is an html code to make the heart symbol (even though the quick version still gets the message across). here it is: ♥
I use the hearts all the time and found the code online from http://www.squidoo.com/html_numeric_codes. Maybe you’ll need some of the others, too 🙂
Thanks for being so diligent about you posts!
