new from noosa

Foodblog (7 of 14)

This post is sponsored by noosa® yoghurt and SocialMoms.

I proclaimed my love for noosa® yoghurt ( <– the Australian spelling!) a while back after discovering it at my Whole Foods. This brand is DIVINE – velvety, thick and creamy. I have tried several other flavors since that first tastes, and I was excited when noosa® emailed and asked if I’d like to try out some more flavors.

These arrived a week later:

Isn’t that a pretty bunch of yoghurts? My spoon and I couldn’t wait to dive in.

noosa® is made from whole milk sourced from small farms in Colorado where the company is located. It’s lightly sweetened with a touch of clover alfalfa honey and paired with fruit on the bottom or infused flavors, like the vanilla bean. The yogurt part is so thick and rich combined with the swirls of flavor.

You can imagine which flavor is my favorite ; ) {PUMPKIN!}

But gosh I love them all – the raspberry is still one of my tops, and the lemon was surprisingly good. And the COCONUT – of course is delicious.

noosa® comes in these little packs too, which are great for lunchboxes.

Plus larger tubs for those who are hooked. Just look at the texture jumping off the screen.

Vanilla

For breakfast one morning I had eggs plus a bowl of strawberries dolloped with the vanilla bean. Might as well have been whipped cream.

Unlike most other yogurts, I don’t need any mixins for this one – I prefer to savor each bite, so I often have it with breakfast sides. Served with toast and fruit this morning!

I HAD to try the pumpkin when I saw it at Target, but I was disappointed with how sweet it was. I had to cut it with real pumpkin puree to make it edible, but then it was great. Maybe I’m odd, I do normally purchase plain yogurt and doctor or up myself.

I MUST go find the pumpkin one ASAP! I tried Chobani’s pumpkin, and I wasn’t gaga over it.

Do you know where else this is sold? Unfortunately I’m no where near a Whole Foods : (
    Thanks!

Target sells it in our area (I’ve never been to a Whole Foods!).

Noosa is so yummy, but it is definitely a once-in-a-while treat in our house because of the incredibly high sugar content!

I too love this yogurt.. lemon my favorite so far, but it does have an incredibly high sugar count. Do you know if this is mostly milk sugars or added?

It’s added and milk together. Wish it were lower too – it used to be!

Actually the sugar content is the same as the last time you mentioned them, within a gram. It’s just that now, they have changed the serving size to be 8 oz (one of the mid-size containers) whereas when you mentioned them in 2013, there were 2 servings in one 8 oz container. Personally, 8 oz is more than I can handle in a serving. So, if you stick with the small 4 oz containers or have good portion control, it can be a treat without a crazy amount of sugar. It’s only a large amount if you eat the whole thing in one sitting.

I didn’t compare the labels, but that makes sense! I agree that I don’t eat a whole container – half is usually perfect.

I do love Noosa – the yogurt part. But the goo is just too sweet. I wish they just had containers of the plain honey infused stuff. It’s plenty sweet on its own.

The rhubarb flavor is the best!
