Maggie, James + Me

Today’s been so chill!

Matt and I worked back to back on our computers all morning and then we set out on a run.

Gatorade in the Camelbak and sun behind the clouds. It was an awesome run!! Sadly Matt slept wrong on his neck and had to stop and walk while I continued the run. I ended up looping back and finding him and walked in the last bit. I ran 6 miles and walked 0.67. It was the longest [and fastest] I’ve ran since my half. I thank the Gatorade and cloudy weather! And I always run my best a few hours after breakfast.

I came home red raced and sweaty though, and we took quick showers and joined Caitlin + Kristien and Kate + Nate for an impromptu late lunch (I think golf was involved too!?)

Had two of these cute appetizers – cuc, hummus and cracker!

We brought over some lettuce and beans to contribute to this awesome spread!!

IMG_7630 (640x427)

I had Caitlin make a wrap for me [containing beans, cheese, salsa and lettuce] and wrap it up like she does so well. It’s fun to have bloggers make the foods you see on the internet 😉

IMG_7633 (640x427)

Like these chips that she also loves to eat!

IMG_7634 (640x427)

And does feta make it beta? Yup! I’ve always loved Athenos’s flavored kinds – this was Tomato + Basil (yay Summit sponsors!!)

IMG_7631 (640x427)

Guess who made the awesome fruit salad? Kate! The Salad Queen.

IMG_7632 (640x427)

IMG_7629 (640x427)

After lunch we had some crazy conversations about childbirth and placentas (Kate’s growing baby was the spark!)

IMG_7637 (640x427) IMG_7638 (640x427) IMG_7641 (640x427) IMG_7639 (640x427)

Lots of dog playing ensued

IMG_7622 (640x427)

I found a Bear to play with!!

Just hanging out now. It’s nice to just relax for once 🙂

Looks like a great day! Nothing better than friends, food and talk of placenta! Love the hummus, cucumber and crackers combo. That sounds tasty. Enjoy the rest of your day!

I love S-berries in my salad – mmm.

I actually have a very unique story about my own placenta, but I don’t know if I want to go there… 😉

Childbirth is just so interesting, ha! Seriously though, it’s a little like an alien concept for me since I haven’t had kids — so the weird facts keep me enthralled. Especially shows like, “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant”. It’s like, what?!

The food spread looks delicious. I know what you mean about having bloggers make you food you see on the internet. I went to a blogger potluck brunch yesterday @thenheathersaid ‘s apartment. So much awesome food!

I have a question for anyone with a DSLR. How do you carry your DSLR if you’re out for the day? I have a camera case, but its so bulky that I hate to carry it in addition to a purse. Do you always bring the case or just pack it securely in a large purse?

Thanks! I’m so paranoid about making sure it’s not going to get hurt since it’s my first DSLR that I think I’m bit “overprotective” 🙂

Looks like fun! Relax all you can before things get crazy with your move again. 🙂

Just wondering about the Folger’s coffee from breakfast…did you get any kind of funky headaches from it at all? Last time I tried one of their flavors I developed a wicked migraine about an hour after. I wonder if they have changed their flavorings at all?

Seem like most conversations I have these days involve placentas, giving birth and pregnancy…..but that’s probably because everyone thinks I’m about to pop when I really have a month and a half left.

That food looks so colorful and cute!
